Great book!
This book is perfect. The wording is encouraging and the pictures are pitched well for children, showing the child's teddy using the potty for the first time too. The stickers are fantastic - lots of pink smiley stars and bigger stickers with a teddy on a potty for "milestones". It is great value for money and I'd definitely recommend it (I'm sure you can get over the use of the word "diaper" as your child can't read and you can just change the word when reading it).

Children can relate to this book
I bought this for my 21 month old daughter as we are just beginning to embark on potty training. Right now I just want to help her understand what the potty is for. This book is especially nice because it uses photographs rather than silly cartoon illustrations, which I feel make it easier for the child to relate to the images in the book. For example, on the first page is a photo of a little girl standing up, bent double at the waist, and looking at the camera from between her feet (as toddlers do). My own little girl, every time she sees this photo, gets up off her potty, bends over, and looks at me between her feet! Having completed this apparently necessary part of the potty ritual, she then returns and sits on her potty. OK, it's a bit weird, but it IS cute, and it suggests to me that she relates to the child in the book and is keen to copy. I think as time goes on and her understanding grows she will be equally keen to copy the other things she sees the girl in the book do. Which is, of course, the whole point. I recommend it.

Big Girls Use the Potty - good value book
Bought this book as a present to my two year old daughter who is getting ready for potty training. I also bought a special singing 'toilet style potty' at the same time. The book is a little bit American (for example: diaper for nappy), but I just change the words to suit as I read it, so no big problem. Daughter bcame a little bit more interested in the potty after reading it. Stickers will be handy for rewards when she does start using the potty.

Pre comments!
Well I have not quite started using this book yet BUT... I did use the boy version for my second son and loved it, so it gets good reviews from me already, even before I have used it!!!! Great wee book. Read it each time little one sits on the potty gives you something to read and learn about while waiting,, and waiting,,, Teaches little ones the importance of washing hands, with soap, and all things toilety!!! You get a reward chart and your child can put a sticker on the chart with each success but more than that they get one on their person too which is fabby! All in all a great wee book!

Star chart printed incorrectly
This would have been a fab book and star chart if it had been printed correctly. There are two pages with the words “ask an adult to carefully pull out your star chart” unfortunately they have been printed in the wrong order so if you were to pull out the chart; you lose 2 pages of the story/book.Which is such a shame as it’s lovely.

potty training
my daughter is two and I felt she was ready to start using the potty as she was showing signs of being ready but since buying her a potty, she was absolutely terrified of sitting on it.I since bought her the potty book and read it to her a few times and now she sits on the potty while I read the book to her. This is a great book as she gets a star to put on her chart. This is a must for troublesome potty training.

Great idea with reward stickers
This is a brilliant book for my little girl to visualise using the potty before she gave it a try. Having the reward stickers was an excellent idea and has gone down so well. My 2 1/2 year old has taken to the potty great with the help of this book.

Great little book
Though an American book. This book has been very useful to me and my toddler. She has taken more of an interest in the potty at lastYes it refers to diaper instead of nappy but my toddler cannot read so no issue! I just say nappyWe have the chart up on the wall and my tot likes the stickers.
