Nelson's Complete Book of Bible Maps and Charts, 3rd Edition: Includes Hundreds of High Resolution Photos Paperback – January 18, 2010

My husband had a copy of this in the past when he was a Pastor of a local church. When he retired, he gave it away. Now, he is filling in for other Pastors and wished he still had it. We were very glad to find it on Amazon and the price was great. It arrived quickly (sooner than expected) and arrived in excellent condition.

My sister-in-law is very well read on the teachings in the Bible. She was very excited to receive this. It’s very well-made, has maps and everything.

alphabetical in a weird index, chart on "Holy Week" actually under "E" for "Events of Holy Week", couldn't find Babylon, or Tyre ...found Tyre under "Paul's first Journey and his journey home". I found the 12 tribes distribution of land under "Restoration of the Land" ---I would't have looked for that. Guess I was just looking for some detailed maps of Israel. This is not so much maps as charts. If you read with a Bible in hand, it is helpful, having a corresponding chapter with information regarding that particular book, location, geneologies, like the people from Noah's 3 sons and where they ended up...called "The Nations of Genesis" map.

A concise, but comprehensive, review of biblical history with a number of maps & charts, and commentaries to aid the reader in a deeper understanding of the Bible and the Word of God. I would recommend the addition of this book to the libraries of all those who want to advance from bible student to bible scholar.

I can't wait to really delve into this book. No other commentary is needed. You don't even have to be having Bible study to use it, just the information itself that this book possesses is enough to keep your nose in there.

Great overview and reference for the Bible. Very helpful for anyone who wants a slightly deeper study tool, especially for context of the ancient world. However, I bought the Kindle edition first, and it is practically useless because all of the images, maps, and charts are terribly low-resolution. The title of the Kindle edition should be “Complete Book of Thumbnails of Maps and Charts”. Again, DO NOT be tempted to buy the Kindle version.
