My machine has started to make a loud whirring noise has anyone else experienced this ?

Yes I opened the machine apart, and was disappointed at the bad quality fan they had put in there.  Cheap Chinese one with badly lubricated bearings.  It's kind of disappointing when you find out you have paid £100 for a box with a crummy fan. If you can do basic soldering I would recommend buying a pc case fan - they only cost 5-10£. Mine now runs whisper quiet at night.

Anyone know if the the filter empties completely, mine still looks full after a couple of months..Thanks

The filter should be change 3 to 4 Months normal use no later than 6 Months
and will still show salt in the filter

Question 3

first night resulted in my throat and cough being worse? any ideas?

The first few nights, I felt very peaceful weirdly and relaxed, but still coughed,  week later, I was sleeping so soundly I felt drugged, and could hardly get up in the morning, but cough was much improved...a month on, I am sleeping like a baby, and in my fifties, no longer having problems getting to sleep and not waking for the bathroom in the night, which I always did at least once.

I have been coughing for 20 years, maybe asthma, maybe allergy (I think so) but doctors etc, could do no good for me, had tons of different meds, no difference, only antihistamine worked for a while, but soon became immune to all types of them.... this winter I genuinely thought my life was no longer worth living, the cough was such a misery to me, I was largely incontinent, wracked day and night with coughing, couldn’t sleep, embarrassed, sure I would just drop dead he day as my cough was such a strain on the heart and lungs..
First I tried blue iron supplement which did seem to help, and then I bought this machine... the best money I ever spent in my life... a month later, I am almost cough free (maybe one ‘do’ a day) I am off any meds, no longer need protection, I can enjoy activities again, I feel like a new person, and I can sleep!!!  My advice, just persevere and hope for the best, I am not sure if will help colds and flu etc, so if that is your problem, you will just get better soon anyway, if you have a chronic ear, nose, throat, chest type of ailment going on, I think this may work well for you, keep going...

Is the salt used refined or mineral/ natural?
