Works great!
This Arduino Uno has been very useful to program other devices.Now that I'm done with those projects, I am going to use the Uno to make a timer and switch for a UV exposure light. The price was right and the unit is very flexible for different projects.

Being a newbie I was confused why the Arduino board would not work. The USB cord supplied with the board was defective. With the new cord the Uno works well.
