Great for Cramming in a Little Education into Car Journeys
-This CD is better than expected and we have spent a few 30+ min car journeys playing the CD with the kids (aged 7, 9 & 10) singing along. It plays each table twice with the singer giving the answer on the first version then plays it again with the answer left out so your child can sing it instead. Overall the tunes are OK and we have found that it has helped the kids learn their tables - especially as they all try to outdo ecah other and get the most right! At least we're using the car journey time as an opportunity to cram in a bit of education.... it was a couple of weeks before the older ones tired of the disc so I'll rest it for a bit then try it again in a couple of weeks ;-). My partner can't bear the CD though as he's strictly Rock LOL

BORING CONTENT, INEFFECTIVE AT TEACHING TIMESTABLES...DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY BUYING THIS CD.
SO SORRY to give an Amazon product a bad review (which is very rare) because I generally like shopping on Amazon and think their products are good. However, for this particular product, the CD was delivered one day late and was NOT worth the wait!It is quality produced in sound and clarity, but the actual content of how the times tables are presented is boring and disappointing. The rock band image and the slogan on the CD's packaging, gives the buyer the expectation that the CD will have a lively rock music style that would make the times tables more memorable?.... BUT instead, when you play the CD, you hear simply a woman rattling off each times table in song in a boring voice with some boring soft rock music playing in the background. Then she repeats this again but skips the answers this time, so that the listener will fill in the blanks .... which I get the idea of what she's trying to achieve .... but this method of achieving it is actually ineffective because of how uninteresting the CD music and content is being presented. My kids love music, but they quickly got bored, distracted and stopped listening to the CD after halfway through the third song of times tables.I am SO SORRY for giving it a bad review, but I have to be honest about what I truly think of this CD.It may work for some kids and some parents may like it, but my kids and I don't find it particularly appealing .... sorry.

Good for some
Bought for my granddaughter. The content cannot be played as background music as it is very energetic. I was hoping that she could learn her tables while doing artwork. If using just on its own with a small group of children I think it would work well, especially if the adult and children sing along. For a single child who really does not want to learn it failed to gain the interest.

Great for filling in the answers second time around as well as singing along to it too. Fab Rock, Pop, Jazz & Blues tunes too.
I have a daughter and when I first put this CD on I thought we were going to be met with "urgh's", but I was wrong. They love this CD! Their recall of their times tables is now much better and they enjoy filling in the answers second time around as well as singing along to it too. The music is as described; Rock, Pop, Jazz and Blues. Every track on it starts off with a great beat which continues through each song, helping to keep my daughters interest (and I have to be honest I find myself tapping along to it too), it’s quite catchy. I was told about this new for 2014 CD from a friend but I had trouble finding any reviews on it that were detailed enough to make me feel confident enough to buy it. I hope you find my review helpful as I realise they are useful for parents when trying to choose the right times tables CD, especially as there are so many times tables CDs out there now to choose from! This CD is a great way to way to learn your 'Times Tables' (of course hands on learning with manipulative resources is key to them understanding what their Times Tables actually mean too!).

it works BUT it’s monotone, boring and repetitive
Catchy and has really helped BUT boring tracks, same tempo/beat, flat toned voice, my goodness someone please make an exciting times tables cd 🙈. If you can put up with that knowing that they actually will take it in the definitely buy it. Although I really hate this CD I have to admit it does work.

Disappointing
Bought this to help my 7 yr old who is struggling with tables. The beat of the songs is OK, if a little repetitive, but the woman singing has the most boring tone, and there is nothing engaging about the delivery. I was unable to listen to a sample before I purchased this (and if I had, I probably wouldn't have bought it) and I was hoping it was a version with catchy tunes and some memorable rhyming. Instead it's akin to chanting tables to a beat-box. This may be OK for a child who wants to learn tables (by rote), but does not engage one who needs to be "drawn in".

It works
My seven year old was really struggling with her times tables. They get a test every week at school and her score was always under 20/36We tried posters, apps, stories which included the times table, and regular chanting. Nothing was working. We sing this in the car together now on a regular basis and she got full marks after a couple of weeksShe’s got much more confidence nowIt’s really helped a huge amount. Her five year old brother is also singing along and loves it too.I recommend it highly, although the songs are permanently stuck in my head throughout the day and I find myself randomly humming them. Be warned. It’s an ear worm!

It's ok
Better than ok but not great. I like that there are gaps so that you can fill in the missing answers. Ok choice of styles, melodies are very meh and not very memorable. More tuneful melodies would help remember tables. Some are better than others. Some.are very dirgelike.
