Definitely waterproof but sizing runs large. I typically wear medium and the bib overalls and rain jacket in size medium both are too big for me unless I was wearing extreme layering underneath. I just ordered the small size rain jacket and without layering that fits me. I will keep these overalls for now in case I need to put them on in the winter over layers but at 5’8 165-170 these are too big for me. I suggest that unless you are very hefty in the chest and waist area you go one size smaller. The overalls are not very breathable but for the price and purpose I don’t care about that. I just wanted something to be 100% waterproof. I typically am only working in heavy rain for 1-2 hours max as long periods of heavy rain are not frequent in my work region however I do have to work in the elements at times and need apparel that can hold up.

Oh, I do love my Hellies! After a couple of decades, my last pair of Hellys finally started to give up the ghost. I ordered these and they’re a great replacement. The shoulder straps allow for a great deal of length adjustment, and the leg length should be adequate for tall people. I am a 5’-6” and somewhat round woman with short legs and a long torso, and the legs were a bit long for me. When you receive them, they are nicely hemmed at the bottom, but the material is such that you can cut them off and they hold up just fine. I had to cut about 4 inches off of mine. They don’t fray. These are a good heavy duty, but still lightweight, rain pant. I use them on my farm in the mud and blackberries. They hold up great to all sorts of abuse.

I bought these for crabbing because my goretex pants kept getting dirty & smelly when crab guts got absorbed. These are easily washed plastic so a quick spray with the hose is hopefully all it will need. It's rare when things like this fit the first time but I'm 5'7 150# and the small fits just perfectly. I can already see the first thing to go will be a small snap on the left side that allows you to get in easily but then tighten it up afterwards. Probably have to add some velcro like the more expensive Grundens do. Unlike another pair I have, the straps on these stay put - not sure how they work so well. The small pocket behind the front is just big enough for an iPhone 15 pro max in an otterbox but it's tight. With the snap undone you can get in/out without having to unsnap the straps which is good because they only attach one way and it's tricky to get them to attached without throwing an extra twist in.

heavy duty and roomy to work in

There a good bib rain pants but they run really long in the legs im 5/10 and i have to have a large size for my waist and build but im not 6/2 had to cut off 5 inchs its my 3rd pair of that style had to cut each one and i work in construction and the hold up well very durable for price

Not the most fashionable item but really comfortable, well priced, 100% waterproof even in really wet weather and much better than over trousers. Handles hedges, brambles and fences without ripping. Fine for dog walking and bike rides. Straps are lasting well, pocket is waterproof.
