Plastic Weld Cement

Q: Would this cement my Fridge´s door shelf, which is made of acrylic, to the fridge´s door inside (also made of plastic, though I don´t know the type)?

Hi - I would say that this won't do the job. Also agree with the comment about weight bearing problems if the original support is broken. Araldite might be better but I wouldn't trust any repair really, especially in view of load bearing/damp/cold/smell etc etc. If it doesn't work and you have to undo the 'fix', it would be easy to damage the inside shell of the fridge.

Q: Will this weld the tray in a fridge door back together?

I find it brilliant on polystyrene, ABS and PLA (3d printing filament) It would be my first choice for tackling a broken fridge door tray. I've used it successfully on freezer drawers that had cracks in them. I would put the parts back together tightly and using a small CLEAN paint brush (it might dissolve paint and so colour the plastic) run a line of solvent weld into the crack and let it wick into place. It isn't gap filling so the parts need to be a very close fit. You might need to do it from both sides. Any solvent weld that runs over the plastic will mark the plastic so take care. If you use tape to hold it together be careful with solvent weld as it will wick under the tape and mark the plastic badly.

Q: I'm looking to build a hand rest from perspex. Would this be strong enough to glue pieces of perspex sheet together or is it just for models?

It is OK for plastic models,however you could try a small piece of plastic sheet to see if it has enough strength to hold it together or use Araldite but this might show on the plastic---try mixing together and see if that is strong enough

Bit late but it might help others. Originally bought it to "glue" perspex but it worked well with 3D printed PLA parts. I used it to fuse a 3D printed frame. The joints are barely visible and adhesion is better than with super glue.
