Description: This is a simple to use, USB to serial base unit for the XBee line. This unit works with all XBee modules including the Series 1 and Series 2.5, standard and Pro version. Plug the unit into the XBee Explorer, attach a mini USB cable, and you will have direct access to the serial and programming pins on the XBee unit. This new version brings out all the pins of the xbee to a standard 0.1" header on the bottom of the board. It also has bigger mounting holes to ease installation. It rendered them useless and to the junk box
Works, but seems to have issues at odd times. I am not totally convinced the issues were 100% the explorer board, but at the end of the day my radios worked in other boards when they seemed to fail in these. Be careful with the sockets as they seem to fail (come apart) with repeated radio insertion and removal on two of my boards. It rendered them useless and to the junk box.
