As others have said, packaging isn't great. The hand guard is cheap plastic, was broken out of the box. While the tip of the sword also had a slight indentation from shipping, overall the sword itself is quite sturdy and has good weight to it. I purchased it to add a full upper body routine to my workout that was slightly less weight bearing, and it seems good for that.

Very disappointed that the handle came all broken really like the katana tho

Item broke, snapped in half without contact

Honestly was surprised by the weight and such, however not even open the handle guard, and it snapped into a bunch of pieces. I was honestly disappointed with this, was made with a cheap type plastic.

got two of these so my girlfriend and i could brush up on our katana skills. worked well for slow, light fighting. once we started getting more comfortable we instantly ended up breaking the cross guards. the rope on the handle also came loose. overall, good wood.
