4.5 stars. It's about 2 weeks into my purchase and I am really loving it so far. If anything changes, I will update my review. The quality is pretty good for the price meaning you won't get the same quality as a higher end backpack or even a Kipling bag but it's still pretty sturdy. The style is similar to Kipling bags down to the shape of the zipper pull but as someone who owns many Kipling products, I'm very impressed by the versatility and pocket space of this weekend shopper bag. There are 2 side pockets for small water bottles (they're pretty shallow and tight so I don't always put full sized water bottles in them but also good for an umbrella, tissues, etc.), a large main compartment with a standard zipper pocket on the back and smaller pockets, more like slip in pockets, towards the front. Then there's a second zipper compartment which is pretty deep, not wide, another more shallow front facing pocket (this is a good spot to put your phone) and then a velco flip pocket for easily accessible items. I was surprised and pretty happy to find a "hidden" zipper pocket at the top, back of the bag and even though it's not deep at all, it's still a pretty decent sized space to store smaller items. The straps are padded and adjustable and don't dig into my shoulders/arm pits. I will speak to one of the previous comments that yes, the large compartment can sometimes unzip itself, especially if the bag is packed full. This is also the only compartment that has two zippers so that you can close it either way. I have been making sure to keep both zippers to one side only, not closed at the top and so far, it has not been unzipping itself even when packed full. Also keep in mind the dimensions. It's definitely a mini backpack and will hold a bit more than the average purse but not too much more than that. One more thing to keep in mind - I bought the blue pattern and it's beautiful but the pattern is not exactly the same as in the pictures, meaning the flowers/leaves won't be in the exact same place as the picture if that's something that would bother you. The bag in the picture also makes it look like there's a cross stitching pattern especially on the front velco flap but that is not the case. The material does feel water proof and has held up in semi heavy rain, keeping the items inside dry. Overall, I am glad I purchased this product and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a well designed, budget backpack/purse replacement.

This is a cute, smaller backpack. More a large purse size, or for a child. Nice for a purse while traveling or day hikes. It has a good size main zipper pocket. Inside the main pocket is a zipper pocket and two slip pockets. A smaller zipper pocket in front of the main pocket. A small zipper slip pocket in the front of it, then a flip cover Velcro pocket in the front (would fit a wallet and keys, or a couple sandwiches). There is a zipper pocket on the back side of the backpack also. On either side there are pockets that are elasticize at the top. They would possibly fit a bottle of water, but I think it would be quite tight. Zippers are plastic, but seem pretty sturdy. Straps have quite a bit of adjustment space available. Liner material does make a crinkly sound, doesn't really bother me. Outer material feels like a coated canvas. Cute pattern. Overall, if it meets your needs, I think it's a great buy for the price.

After asking for feedback from past purchasers, I bought this item to use as a beach bag on my upcoming cruise. I received it and decided to see whether it would hold a beach towel. I tried two towels, one bulkier than the other. The lighter, but standard size, beach towel fit in the main compartment without a problem, leaving a bit of room for something else. The bulkier towel squeezed in, but left no additional space. However, there are four compartments on the outside, plus an elasticized pocket on each side. I expect to be able to add to the bag my kindle, sunglasses, sunscreen, cabin card, a water bottle, etc. without a problem regardless of the bulk of the beach towel provided on board. In addition, the empty bag is very light and small to fit into my carry on bag for the flight. I am a plus size woman in her 60s and found the bag easy to put on and wear as a backpack or sling. I will update this review when I return from my cruise to let you know how it worked and if it held up okay. So far I am extremely pleased with my purchase. Looks like a winner. Update: the bag worked great for my cruise, but I also found I used it all summer for my water workouts. It held everything I needed and the waterproof material worked well. I am now thinking of taking this on a short trip to England. I am happy to have it

Looking for a different backpack to serve as a purse on trips, this seemed to fit the bill. I don't actually travel with this because it's too small, but it's a good backpack to fit a knitting project and my iPad mini. I like the many pockets, but think that maybe there might be one too many on the front. "Which pocket did I put...in?". The only comment I have on the workmanship is that the velcro hook and loop tapes are oriented perpendicular instead of matching - not a show stopper, but that makes the front pocket connection less secure.

It's a perfect size and has lots of different sized compartments and is water proof. Very durable and works great for day-to-day use. When it first arrives you have to puff it out a bit since it was flattened for packaging. The two side compartments can hold a 20oz bottle as long as it's not too tall. Every compartment has a zipper except for the small one in the front which is velcro. In the largest compartment I can fit two outfits if I roll it up along with a few books. The compartment on the back is great for a phone or loose money. Perfect to take to a amusement park or zoo if you don't want to bring a purse or large bag. It's a mini bag but still holds a lot. Overall a great buy especially for the price, and the cute design. If your thinking about getting one I 100% recommend it!

I love this purse! I wanted a roomy backpack purse that could hold a couple of water bottles. This backpack does hold a thinner bottle of your own or one you buy at a store. It has a pocket at the back and three in front. I love having so many pockets. I put my keys in the front smaller zippered one, I put my chapstick and hand sanitizer in the front flap pocket and my wallet and glasses in the front bigger zippered pocket. The back pocket holds papers and coupons and such. The main compartment can hold a pkg of wipes, a small activity packet for kids, and a few diapers. Plus other crap I have to have like a tape measure, pen, mirror and makeup stuff. Pretty roomy for a small backpack. It won’t hold clothes or shoes though. Maybe something small like a kids outfit, but that’s about it. I get lots of compliments on it too. So far, nothing has broken on it. I have had it for at least a couple of years now and it’s still going strong.

Purchased, for vacation, to use at theme parks. Water resistant for sure. Light and large enough for essentials when traveling? Yeah. Durable? Not so much. I had loose threads and a compartment liner separated after only a few uses.

I purchased this after I had my third child & went back to work. Because I was nursing I had to carry a small pump & a few other things & I didn't want to carry an ugly bag that usually comes with it (the pump) or have to use a tote where things fall out. I wanted something lightweight & cute enough to be able to take with me everywhere. This checked all the boxes! Seriously, I abused this thing & it has survived! I was so surprised by the amount of room! All the little compartments are perfect and the fact that I CAN wear it as a backpack means that I have free hands. I've even used it on vacations to pack all the little essentials & I don't have to stress about damaging or losing or having stolen a nice bag. Plus the whole thing can be thrown in the washer as a bonus!
