Scent Blender - Hunting Scent Kit DIY Cover Scents for Deer Bear, Elk, Trapping

To be honest, I was a little skeptical of this product since I'd never seen anything like it, but I am an avid hunter and love to try new gear so I gave it a whirl.It is really well made, sturdy plastic, a really nice case, a charging cable (USB C), a cleaning brush for the bottle filter...Honestly no complaints at all about product or accessories.I decided to test it using a hand full of acorns from my backyard because I wanted to really push it and see how tough it was and that's what a lot of deer around here eat in the winter. It took me a minute to figure out the double click to start it, I thought it was broken, but that's my fault for not reading the instructions. Once I had it figured out, it pulverized the acorns in less than 60 seconds. It was about half charged and I wanted to see how long the battery would last so I let it run over and over for about 15 minutes and I ran out of interest before it ran out of batteries. Nobody will ever run this thing out of batteries in the field, I can tell you that.The acorn water has a really rich smell, I am not sure how strongly other leaves or materials will smell but this was plenty strong. I'd really like to try it with sage brush, there is lots of that around here and I bet it will work really well.I was worried it would be like spraying mud on me and might stain my clothes or just turn to dirt when it dried but I was surprised how effective the screen in the spray bottle is. It is a really fine mesh and just allowed the scented water through and not the rest. I sprayed a white piece of paper to see how dirty it would be and could barely see any coloring, but the scent was still very strong! (I took a picture for the review) I'd like to test it on pine needles next and see if it's sticky or not, but for the acorns and leaves I tried tonight it worked perfectly. The spray is a very fine mist, exactly what you want for covering a lot of area.Overall it's met my expectations in every way. Its not super heavy but I would still probably take the spray bottle in my day pack and leave the rest in the truck. You can twist the nozzle closed and I tried to squeeze the handle and hold it upside down to get it to leek but couldn't get anything to come out.I gave it five stars for the construction, the battery life, the ease of use, and the novelty of the idea. It just makes sense to smell like the woods your deer, elk, coyotes, or whatever are used to rather than some random store bought scent or scent blocker in my opinion. I guess I will test that theory when I get this guy out into the woods or the desert on my next hunt.

Perfect solution for creating a cover scent that is specific to a hunting area. Instructions are good and unit seems to be well built. Start button double click can be fiddly, works great when you get it right. The scent doesn't last as long as I would like but bring the applicator and reapply as needed. Deer hunters, you need this.

Amazing product

The media could not be loaded. This kit works just like it should. I used it to grind up some fresh acorns and used it as a cover scent/attractant. The grinder seems sturdy and well made as is the sprayer. When I first smelled my concoction I was amazed at how great it smelled! Like fresh banana nut bread! I sprayed it over my clothes, boots and Fanny pack and walked to my stand as normal. I had 5 deer around me and four got downwind but were just searching for the acorn scent from my trail in (there were acorns on the ground naturally) and seemed to really be able to smell my acorn scent. They weren’t alarmed at all and seemed relaxed as deer can get. I can’t wait to see what other natural scents I can make with local materials. This could be a game changer for me. Its fun to use and so far seems pretty intensive!

The scent blender works well if you do a few things. The sprayer easily gets clogged and then makes an audible clicking noise which isn't optimal while hunting. Here is what I do to make the scent blender work better: Pine needles; I cut the needles in shorter sections. If you don't do this, then the needles will get caught on the blending blades and jam it up a lot. I use cedar "leaves" effectively well. Corn doesn't blend at all, so either don't use corn or use fresh corn that is moist. The other tip I found effective is to blend the stuff up the night before, and let the solution "marinate" over night to enhance the smell in the water. I gave a 4 star review due to the sprayer getting clogged.

I love the diffrent cover scents, but his product is worth its weight in gold and then some. Rather you're tree climbing, stalking or ground blind, this will be your best friend. This gives you the ability to create the scent of area you're hunting. Pines, pecans, persimmon or what ever. Just grab some of its shrubs/leaves, add water and blend it up. It has it's own strainer to keep the and blockage out of the spray nozzle. I hunt one area where pines are dominant, another area that has a great persimmon presence. This gives me the opportunity to create both scents. didn't use any other cover scent and I didn't get busted. I would say it did it's job!!

What do you get an avid hunter who has everything? ... THIS! I was sceptical at first because i've never seen a product like this in any stores. I was afraid I had wasted my money on something cheaply made and would regret it. But I was wrong. Packaged very well in a sturdy box, the case it came in was very well made and thick like a suit case which immediately tells me that if it was "dropped" , the contents would remain safe. I am excited to gift this to my brother in laws since i bought 2 of them. The product inside was just as described.

Works really well. I've chopped up juniper and sage as cover scent for coyotes. It seems to fade quickly, but it is more likely that I become acclimated to it. I have not experienced any clogging issues.
