The last cold packs I had started leaking gel, so I wanted to find replacements. I found a deal for this 4 pack, and was excited to try a new brand out. I really appreciate that the 4 packs arrive tightly packed in a box, individually wrapped in curb-recyclable plastic. I only need two in rotation for now, so I'm glad to be able to store these easily for future use and keep them protected from dust, and other items protected from them in case of accidental puncture. So, first impression: good packing.Second impression: seems to be a lighter weight than my previous cold packs. This didn't matter to me.Third impression: they freeze and heat faster than the other cold packs I had. These freeze fully in about an hour if left undisturbed, my previous packs took over 2 hours to freeze well. However, they also warm quickly during use. I can trust these to stay colder for a far shorter amount of time, I won't give an estimate because it's highly dependent on how you use it, climate, humidity, temperature, etc -- but using it in the same situations as the others yielded faster warming times. It still stays cold long enough to be useful and worth it, and I'd say the trade off of cooling quicker in the freezer is a fair trade for it also warming faster.I'd say they're a good buy! But, be aware other brands or options might offer longer cold use.

I had rotator cuff surgery and during my recovery sometimes I needed to ice and sometimes I needed heat!These are the perfect size - just pop them into the microwave for heat or in the freezer for cold. I'm only using 2 of the 4 I bought. They are a bargain. Tip: Wrap in a tea towel so you don't out them directly on skin.

These ice packs are great for small areas of the body: knees, top of shoulders, base of spine. I recently had back surgery and they were great as I could use several at a time. Once they initially cool off they cool rapidly between uses and are easy to handle.

My wife recently had back surgery and having ice packs was important to help in recovery. We had some gel ice packs from several years ago but wanted a few extras. These are well made and now are the preferred solution when my wife needs something cold on her back. What’s nice is that they get very cold, but remain flexible.

After playing tennis, i put one (cold one from freezer) on my twisted ankle and another one (heated in microwave) on my elbow (due to elbow tendinitis). Perfect for both.
