This journal is absolutely beautiful. I bought it for myself to get all my feelings out after my bf broke up with me.It arrived the next day, today. The gold edged pages are stunning!! The book feels just lovely. The pages are exactly what I need (non ruled this is what I wanted)It's chunky so will see me through a long Time.I can't get the writing into focus in photos, it's very clear and easy to read 'believe I believe that the most beautiful thing is worth waiting and the sweetest fruit needs patience.'I understand now why there aren't many photos showing what it says, with it being black embossed, my camera just won't focusWell worth the money. I'm excited to get journaling.

Are you sure it's not 620 sheets????I've just received the booknote and I cannot believe my eyes!!! A perfection! exactly what I wanted but not what I expected. I am more than satisfied. I was looking for a dotted Leuchtturm or Moleskine notebook which for a more expensive price give you 3 to 4 times less sheets than this notebook so I thought I'll give it a try. For someone like me who writes a lot, this is a gift!!! Perfect size& shape, perfect color, strong & nice sheets, heavy book.....upon the glaring grammatical errors on both front and inside the notebook it still deserves 5 stars because of it's great features and so far it is the best notebook I have ever possessed. I'll definitely buy 2 or 3 more of them the next black Friday.For people that are still hesitating in 3 words Go For It!

I bought this journal to write down all my thoughts. There are 640 pages and sadly all my thoughts were accounted for after 6 pages. Talk about overkill. The book is actually about the size of a pew Bible. I thought the cover would be soft but it is a rigid cardboard covered by the fake leather material.. not so fond of that. The pages are textured like sketch paper and therefore enjoyable to draw on. I use a fountain pen and unfortunately writing doesn't feel very good on this paper due to that texture. Fortunately the ink doesn't feather and there is no bleedthrough (I'm using a fairly wet nib with a fairly free flowing ink). In fact most of my fountain pens seem write a little dry when using this paper and my Pelikan broad nib (which floods most paper) behaves really well here. I think a medium nib is the thinnest you can go on this to have any enjoyment.Ballpoints are bearable.The little message on the cover is a little cheesy: "Believe - I believe that the most beautiful thing is worth waiting and the sweetest fruit needs patience".. actually it's very cheesy but you can hardly read it so it's all good.Again it does look very much like a bible, with the gold edging - people keep mistaking it for the Bible and open mine in the search for life, the truth and wisdom ..only to be faced with some unintelligible psychobabble about the meaning of giraffes.

The book arrived quickly and has a nice feel to it. I am really impressed with the thickness of the paper too. I have had no problems with ink bleeding through, so I can use both sides of each page. I also like that there are two page marker ribbons, plus a metal book mark. This makes it appropriate for a notebook for working on a text, or multiple texts. I feel that (although I am not using it for that purpose) it would be ideal for bible/religious text study. It has a traditional bible feel itself, so would be a nice complement.

This is an incredible lined notebook. Pages are really nice & kind of old looking. Plenty of room for what I need it for. Definitely recommend for notes, journaling etc. And delivery was so quick. So here I go!!

Soft covers, great paper despite some other comments. Can be used as a personal journal, or for notes, or anything any stationery lover or writer chooses. Good price. Arrived well packaged, a little earlier than originally stated, so well done for that. To the person asking if a fountain pen could be used with this book, I can say that I've used fine-tip Sharpie pens and none have bled through the paper, so hope that helps. It is a lovely item to keep and would also make a truly beautiful gift for someone.I will definitely be ordering more as and when needed.

I bought this book based on its size and appearance neither disappoints, it looks impressive sat on my desk, on the table next to my flat white at Starbucks it looks good. It was bought to be a new journal for writing and drawing but sadly the paper is not up to par, it is thin with a slight sheen, the transfer of ink seeps to the reverse page side then also onto the paper of the next page. In summary therefore one page sacrifices the next two and suddenly the uses of the book is decreased significantly.

This is way overpriced for a note book. It's ok and is fit for purpose but for what it is I wished I bought a cheaper product
