Update 5/29/21- Wow, almost 8 years later and we are just about ready to replace this wonderful topper! We’re mattress shopping again, and this topper has seen us through all of these years with no issues. The only reason I want to replace it is because it’s quite stained from all these years of using by without a mattress pad. I didn’t want to risk taking away the benefit of the temp regulation by covering it with a poly mattress pad so I left it. Otherwise it’s fine. I’m finding after trying two mattresses in a box (Tuft and Needle Original and Happsy) that all mattresses now feel quite firm after sleeping on this for so long. I can’t be without it. Paired with a wool comforter and you can’t beat it for temperature regulation! Worth every penny!Original 2013 Review:Ever since giving birth to my son last year, I wake up often in the night soaked in sweat. I have tried closing the heat registers in our bedroom, using fans, and I've tried different comforters (down and polyester). Nothing has worked. Then, we recently decided to upgrade our queen mattress to a king, and we got a Simmons Beautyrest with a foam topper. Bad idea. Baaaaad. I was waking up every night drenched. Between that and the huge crater I'd find myself in when I woke up, I decided I hated memory foam. But the mattress can't be returned so I decided to try this. Wow. It helps with the feeling of sinking down into the mattress and makes the bed so soft! It does help to keep me cooler, although I still sweat under our down comforter. I ordered a wool comforter today that should take care of that problem. But really, such luxury!I do occasionally smell the wool smell, but it doesn't bother me. I had purchased a Snugglewool blanket for my son when he was born and had to sell it because I could not stand the smell. This does not come close to smelling as strong as that blanket did. It comes in a nice organic cotton bag and the cover itself is so soft and smooth. Really, it's a perfect solution.Pricey, but worth it to solve my sleep issues.

FIRST OF ALL DO NOT BELIEVE THE SLANDER that other reviewers have made against this company. These products DO NOT have any chemical odor nor are they chemically treated!! Before making any comments you NEED TO DO THE RESEARCH as I have!! [...]Also, remember had they been chemically treated they never would have gotten organic certificates such as USDA, GOTS, CERES, etc.)This company has taken the time to produce the purest, cleanest organic mattress topper I have ever seen. So cozy I wanted to use it as a blanket!! This topper improves 100 percent the texture of the mattress I now have that was previously uncomfortable for me. This topper is worth every penney. This manufacturer has carefully analyzed everthing before putting it together. Each side of this topper has a thick organic elastic strap that perfectly holds down each of the four sizes of the topper to each of the four corners of the mattress making it fit tightly in place so that it does not move and shift while you are sleeping. Also the packaging was amazing! Each topper comes individually wrapped up in a thick, organic cotton reusasble sack with back straps so you can easily carry it with you. This is great especially since the topper will never touch the packaging plastic that comes with the mail delivery. This ensures this beautiful organic topper to arrive at your house clean, without any smell and 100 percent germ free from any contaminents in transit. It is country fresh and made with the customer's health in mind. You can purchase this with confidence and it is worth every penney spent. I tried 3 sizes of this wool topper. I started with the king size for my bed - Feb 2023. I had purchased one from Woolroom too but it was much thinner even though the measurements were listed as the same as Sleep and Beyond. Returned the one from Woolroom and kept this one. Two years later and it's just as soft and plush as when it first arrived. So then last year - Jan 2024 - I bought this in the twin size however it was way too narrow. It was wide enough at the head and foot but toward the center it went in about 6 inches on each side. Super narrow. But because I liked it so much, I exchanged it for a full size to cover the twin bed and even though it hangs over the sides, it's still works. I haven't tried any of Sleep and Beyond's other products but this wool topper is the best. I also use Woolroom's wool pillows and duvet. And if you're trying to keep your bed linen as unprocessed as possible, stay clear of washable wool. Just learned that in order for it to be washable, it's put through a chemical wash and then covered in polymer resin. Yes, coated in plastic. Look it up. Stick with natural wool like this topper.

Finally, not just a good night's sleep but a great night's sleep! We used to have an extra-firm mattress: it stayed cool at night, but my increasingly old hips ached in the morning. We replaced it with a high-quality firm mattress. The hips loved it, but my body seemed to create a soft mass of heat as soon as I lay down. Is it the gel or foam they use in the mattresses now that holds body heat this way? Not only did I have sleepless hot nights this summer, even with the air conditioner on, but my mind was troubled knowing I had spent about $1000 on a new mattress that was making me miserable. Would I have the nerve to ditch it and buy a new mattress? This daughter of Depression Era parents did not think that would be possible for at least another two years! Thank God for the reviews I found here written by fellow sufferers who had discovered this wonderful product. Just a few nights with this pad in place have made all the difference. With this pad in place, the sheets stay cool and crisp all night long, and I woke up just long enough to savor how well I was sleeping! Yes, this mattress topper is expensive. But the quality is high, the wool is organic, your body and mind will thank you -- as will your family friends who will be happy to have their well-rested family member back!
