What a gem
Upgraded from Honor 10.I was worrying the phone might be too big but it is not. It is taller then H10 but not a lot, still fits the pocket.I runs very smoothly and the screen quality is ace.Is packed with everything you need:-dual SIM,-AMOLED screen,-5G ready (one SIM only),-IR blaster (you can use it as a remote control)-supports NFC,-3.5mm jack,-loudspeaker is loud (I was worrying it is going to be worse then H10 but is is actually the same or even louder).-no popping out adverts as some people mentioned. You can turn them off anyway. It is half price of Samsung and I cannot see differences, honestly. I would say it is even better. Who cares about better camera on Samsung? If you want a good picture buy SLR camera.I strongly recommend it.

Amazing value hi spec "mid range" 5g phone
I needed a new dual SIM phone and trying to be future proof, I wanted a 5g ready handset. Choice was this or OnePlus Nord.I am very pleased with this phone, very fast, great memory, and the cameras are superb. Battery life is amazing and plays games with easeComes with a screen protector, bump cover and fast chargers that takes it to full charge in less than an hour.

It's f#*@%!g sick
After messing about with this phone for a couple of days and getting it just the way I like it, I LOVE IT.Could be a little overwhelming for someone not that savvy but the sheer amount of customisation is ridiculous. The miui 12 interface works well, cameras are really good, would suggest deleting the mi bloatware and having a good look through permissions for apps as you can limit every app to only use its permissions when in use so no more WiFi and location scanning by sneaky social network apps and Google. Can get themes to totally change the look of your phone too to say IOS.Fast charge is a god send. For the price I'm insanely impressed with this phone and it's functionality.

Excellent Performance - Wow!
I have used Huawei mobiles for a number of years and always been pleased with them. However, with the newer models no longer featuring Google APPs and Play Store, I took a friend's recommendation and tried Xiaomi! We can't get 5G yet however, it is iminent - and I will be ready!Overall, I am rather impressed as this Mi 10 Lite rather out performs its mid-range price tag. It is very responsive and the AMOLED display is brilliant. This mobile is quite heavy and chunky when compared with my previous Huawei P30 Lite. However, I quite like that. It still fits easily into a pocket. I chose the 128GB version as there is disappointingly, no option to use a micro SD card. There is however, a proper earphone jack socket.I appreciated that Xiaomi throw in a gel case and factory fit an albeit 'film' screen protector. As I wanted to use a Nillkin wireless charging receiver card, I opted for a more substantial 'Oududianzi' case that hides everything nicely. It also comes with 3 (adequate if not top-notch) 9H glass screen protectors. I fitted one in a couple of minutes (unusually for me) bubble free. The listing states that this mobile comes with MIUI 12 ready installed - it doesn't - though the phone auto updates from MIUI 11 to 12 OK. Moving from a Huawei to Xiaomi environment, I chose to use the (Youtube) recommended CLONEIT APP. Alas, it proved to be as useful as a chocolate teapot as it rejected all of my 128 APPs. However, all other settings and contacts etc were transferred. As both mobiles were running Android 10, that does seem a tad odd. Anyway, my Google account came to the rescue and with some manual intervention, I got everything across OK.I opted for the fingerprint option to sign-on and after a bit of messing about, it works fine. However, everytime I restarted the mobile, a "a can't validate the SIM Card" error appeared! It was possible to cancel the error and everything worked fine - until the next restart. Apparently, this is a common error and it occurs when data roaming is disabled and Mi Messaging is unable to access Xiaomi servers. According to Google, there are a number of ways of eliminating the error (including disabling messaging!!). I enabled data roaming and powered the device on and off - and my SIM was validated in seconds. I then disabled data roaming once more. All is fine! I did check if I had incurred any charges but, luckily, I hadn't. I do have an unlimited data allowance and free data roaming (but only within the EU). So, no guarantees, others may get a charge......As regards wireless charging (using the Nillkin card), everything works fine albeit slower than using the charger provided with its USB C cable. It's not an issue as I just bung the mobile on the wireless charger at bedtime and within a couple of hours it's fully charged. Battery life is good so, thus far, I haven't needed a mid-day top-up! Indeed, after about a week, battery life improved to be rather impressive. By bedtime, I usually have 50+% charge left. Wireless charging in the car also works a treat. So, there you have it. A very reasonably priced mobile that works for me - albeit with a couple of initial niggles. I did look at the slightly newer Mi 10T Lite model - with a higher resolution camera and slightly larger display. However, on the 10T, the display is IPS rather than AMOLED and hence my choice. Camera resolution really isn't an issue (for me) and even in low light, my photos are excellent quality. So, I am currently most chuffed with my purchase. I suppose time will tell - particularly once I can try out 5G.......UPDATE3 days after writing my review, BT informed me that 5G was now available in our area. My new SIM arrived the next day and after a 20 minute activation, it burst into life with a 5G connection. I've not had a lot of time to check it all out but, thus far, it seems to work fine - and quickly too...

Made my Samsung A8 feel sluggish
I read a lot of reviews and watched videos on YouTube before making this purchase. I was looking for a 5G phone as a new tower has recently been put up near my home and I was hoping for better internet speeds than that currently obtained via my internet provider.Sadly, the 5G tower is not yet in service, so I can't comment on the download speeds yet.The phone is pretty much as I expected after seeing the reviews. The screen is a super bright Amoled panel and perfectly visible in bright daylight. The phone was discounted as a "Used" item, and I was a little cautious, as the last phone I purchased came damaged and the cameras did not work. This one however was completely unmarked, in the original box, and supplied with the charger and a new cable.I am very happy with the purchase, and would like to thank the seller for providing such a great product at the price.

Unfortunately wifi keeps dropping
The phone is very nice with one major problem and that makes it a very bad phone : unreliable wifi. Well it is actually reliable on not working properly!I'm sitting next to the router. Approximately every hour wifi practically stops working. Not very slow, connection is lost completely. But there is no indication on the screen. According to the wifi icon and the wifi menu, phone is still connected to the wifi and connection is very good. It's only that no data is transferred.Another phone sends me a whatsapp message and even that text message doesn't get delivered. Youtube videos freeze, instagram and all other stuff stops receiving data. All other devices connected to the same wifi works fine.I've tested on 2.4 and 5 ghz. I've seperated ssid's of the two bands. Deleted 2.4 ghz wifi on the phone so that it stays on a single wifi band. Nothing fixed the issue. I've seen on the forums that some other people are having the same issue. The solution: turn wifi off and on again. The wifi works fine again, for 45-60 mins. This is unacceptable.
