AutoCAD For Dummies 17e (For Dummies (Computers)) Paperback – 6 May 2016

I have always liked the 'Dummy' series of books. They are well written by people who really know their subject and add their own sense of humour to make the book more like a very necessary and useful reference and less like a boring text book. This AutoCAD for Dummies book is a must for beginners and a useful reference for more advanced users

The book does exactly as promised, I had next to no experience in the use of AutoCAD prior to using this book, but needed for a new aspect of my work. It’s step by step process allows you to work your way through the basics and various aspects of AutoCAD.

This is a helpful book. What I was really looking for was something that supplied drawing exercises to do but I still find these guide helpful.

I have a number of autocad books and this is the simplest and helpfulMost others offer a step by step guide and immediately fall int a language only s geek would understand

Starting in CAD from completely no experience, I found this very informative. The information is well ordered, neatly explained and very well laid out. Although embarrassed to say I even found the jokes here and there funny, and they kept a long read mildly entertaining. It has made the learning process very easy and would recommend this book.

It’s ok but in places very hard to follow, unless I’m lower than a Dummy! It’s not easy to look up individual ‘ how to do’ advice and in places it takes time to read through the parts which are meant to be humorous, this jacked me off to the point of throwing the book away in frustration! If you are a Dummies fan then this might be for you, if not look for a better alternative.

I just bought book for colleague leaving work.

Full of tutorial advice and clearly set out, It would be advised to have basic understanding how to use AutoCAD before reading this book.
