Great TrueNAS motherboard
I was looking for a mini-itx low power consumption NAS motherboard with a CPU combo and this by far rocks. So much so, I have bought 3, 2 for myself to have redundancy, and 1 for my son to introduce him to an Enterprise level NAS implementation. Running with 2x8GB sticks and 4x6GB drives configured as a RAIDZ2 array giving me great redundancy per server with a total of 13+TB of storage each. I also added an Intel NIC to compensate for the bottleneck Realtek NIC as they are the cheap MB solution with subpar performance. If you are looking for a Windows all in one, I would suggest looking elsewhere. This is in my opinion a great NAS board.

PCIE is faulty, ASRock support unresponsive
I attempted to use this machine as a router using OPNSense. Multiple PCIE NICs which work properly in other systems will not function with this board.ASRock support was totally unresponsive after requesting help.After replacing the board once suspecting it was just defective the same issue was encountered with the second board.

My first DIY NAS system board

Defective 3 day horror story.
I bought this board to replace the C2D Intel ITX board for a custom NAS I built years ago (1st pic). It had performed flawlessly, serving over 2000 movies: thousands of episodes of TV shows to 9 Android boxes: from Andy Griffith and Hogan's Hero's to Yellowstone and Breaking Bad. But, I thought I needed better. I spent 3 days and 8 attempts trying to install an OS. Plugging in my NTFS formatted storage drives immediately resulted fatal crash. In 30 years of building computers, this is the worst mobo I've ever encountered (Junk: pic #2). Ultimately, as a final act of frustration, I booted Hiren's, which revealed, as I suspected a fatal I/O error. Junk.. just junk (pic #3). I've never owned an Asrock, and I never will again: Asus or Gigabyte. Oh, and as for the Intel C2D Intel ITX board: it's back in: old but flawless. This is particularly disappointing b/c this ASRock board had exactly the features, CPU, ram compatibility, etc. I wanted for this upgrade.
