Quality design, quality product.
I have been looking at many different bike repair stands for 6 months now. I wanted to be able to easily work on my bike without setting it upside down to work on it. This was my answer. I looked at many different stands that cost less than $150 including Park Tools, Sette, and others. This was actually the last one I found, but liked it the most for several reasons. -The tripod base: The tripod base is much more stable than the type with only two legs. This thing has a huge footprint, keeping it very stable. -Adjust-ability: Has a wide range of heights you can choose from; from down low all the way the where the bottom bracket sits up to chest height. -Quality design: The overall design is quality built. From the thick aluminum tubes to the heavy duty screw type clamp. It feels very solid and will be able to take some good wrenching. I feels as though it will have not problem holding the bike still even for bottom bracket bearing service/removal. -Looks great: I know it is just black, but for some reason this stand is visually attractive to me. -Ease of use: This stand is real easy to unfold and get upright and ready for the bike. Once up the clamp collars hold everything in place. It fold up relatively small, but it is actually bigger than what the picture lead me to believe. (the bike stand in general) I have heard, and noticed, on the lower end park stands, the clamps are sub-par, The clamp on this one however is very nice and heavy duty was built in. The clamp easily adjust to my seat tube and holds the bike with a death grip without marring the finish. I think this stand will have a long life, supported by a good company.

Great for home maintance and storage
I've been very pleased with this stand for maintenance and everyday storage. Construction feels sturdy, the stand folds up compactly for storage, and when maximum stability isn't needed the legs can be tightened in place only partly extended to save space. The stand has held my bike stably at a variety of angles, including under relatively high torque like when unfastening wheel nuts. A benefit of the steel construction is that a magnetic parts bowl can stay in place just about anywhere. The clamp is not quick release but has a weighty spinning knob that makes tightening and loosening quicker. I don't find it quite as effortless as it looks in the manufacturer's video, and would probably want to invest in a quicker mechanism if working on multiple bikes daily, but it has been fine for my individual use. For easy everyday storage I just hang my bike by its saddle rails over the clamp arm, using a little inner tube rubber as padding, rather than clamping in, and this has worked well. I wasn't certain that a work stand would be a worthwhile investment for one person with one bike, but it makes working on the bike so much more convenient and comfortable that it feels well worth it, especially with the added value of using for storage.

Better Constructed Than I Expected
Overall, this stand is a great value and works well. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the stand is constructed better than I expected. A couple reviews said that the cross arm would droop with a bike on it, or pieces would break. Neither has happened to me so far, although I do treat it with kid gloves so I don't break it. I could see the fitting that holds the cross arm breaking at some point as it looks like cast aluminum (first photo) and not that thick, but it is working well so far. The only other improvement I would like to see (though not essential) is for the spinner knob that tightens the clamp could be more ergonomic (photo 2). I don't feel very coordinated holding the bike in the clamp while trying to spin the knob. It is a little difficult to spin. Maybe if ONE of the spinner knob arms extended parallel and away from the cross arm it might be easier. Or maybe if I were younger. It does have a rather large footprint (about 4' diameter) but it is pretty stable for what I do with it. So far, I have only inflated the tires, adjusted spokes, and cleaned it: The stand is perfect for me so far. Even though I don't have much room in the garage, I am using it to store my bike because it is so convenient. I normally hang it on brackets, high on the wall. BTW, I discovered the stand is from the same manufacturer as the brackets, which I also like.

Great stand
My previous stand was a cheapie, V legs. It was sturdy enough for washing the bike and lubing the chain, and, if careful, adjusting the derailleurs. It did not hold the bike rigidly. This stand, admittedly twice the price but not much heavier, is rock solid. I had no trouble removing the pedals, including the obligatory for me, trying to turn the wrench in the wrong direction, tightening instead of loosening. So quite a bit of force was involved. The stand adjusts easily in both height and angle the bike is held. I am short, 5'3", and I can raise the height of the bike to where it is hard for me to lift the bike. It also folds and unfolds easily. The only complains are that I have to lift the bike up with one hand while the other tightens (or loosens) the clamp, which is a bit of work, and that the clamp is a little too long for the seat post on my wife's bike, which has the seat post extended only a short distance.

Love This Bike Stand
I used to spend a lot of time trying to clean my bike leaning up against something and having it fall over at times. I saw a stand similar to this one in my local bike shop and decided to look one up on Amazon, very happy with finding this stand. The stand is very sturdy and made of quality materials. It isn't some light, junky stand. It is very, very sturdy, feet are long and wide enough to not have the stand tip over while using it. The cradle that holds the seat post is pro quality and just as good as the ones I saw in my local bike shop. All in all, this is a perfect stand for use at home. It doesn't take up a lot of room in the garage when folded up and standing in the corner. Gets my bike off the ground to the point that I can take both wheels off and clean everything in a very detailed manner. Great addition to my biking tools.

The stand appears well made from durable materials and not too much plastic. I have an e-bike weighing approx 24kg and attached it to the stand via the seat post, with the front wheel on the ground (to take a little weight off) and used it to adjust my rear derailleurs. The stand was great - easy to set up and pack away, and very stable with my bike on it.
