Ideal for the handyman

At last I'll always have the right size hex key. This is a nice set of hex keys for domestic and enthusiastic amateur usagee.I take the other reviewers comments about there being better hex key sets around for professional use - but I must admit that I seem to lose my hex keys on a 2 yearly basis. Consequently, the decent quality of these from a recognised brand, coupled with their reasonable price make them a good and sound compromised.My last hex key set were all kept together on a 'keyring' hoop meaning that I either had to take ALL of the hex keys to the job and handle them all together, or spend time messing about taking one off the hoop and replacing it later. Now, with this nice compact holder, I can easily take each one out as needed and replace it after use with a minimum of fuss.

I don't know where Allen/hex keys escape to, but they always seem to go missing; at least, the one particular size you need has a habit of not being where you thought it was. I bought this set in 2011 and after eight years of occasional use I can report a full complement of keys, each in their rightful place in the holder provided.Hex keys, especially the smaller sizes, can appear fragile. I don't feel these are any less sturdy than others I've used. Granted, if you use the wrong size, or try to use them for almost-the-same-size-but-not-quite imperial bolts, the corners will round off. Equally, there's only a certain amount of torque that can be applied to them, and with smaller seized bolts you may bend them. I bent a 2mm one a couple of years ago which I replaced cheaply and put into the same holder.Overall, for the low price and with a handy case, I'd recommend them for home use.

I have a few sets of allen keys, but all are currently lost in packing during a house move, even though I thought I was being careful. No matter, I decided to order this set as a temporary replacement and it is so good that I will no longer need my other sets once they have been located.I really like the way that the holder folds over so that it becomes a compact unit for storage and, although the keys are individually a bit reluctant to come out of their slot for use, it does mean they don't fall out easily as some in my other sets were prone to doing.The keys are all solidly built and durable with precise tips for fast tightening of things that need to be tightened. The yellow of the branded holder helps to ensure the set is easy to find in a toolbox as well or at least it is easy to locate as long as I don't pack it in a box for the next house move.This is a very good set of allen keys and a good small gift for a DIY enthusiast, particularly if they have recently moved house.

I bought this set of Allen keys for the 1.5mm key specifically as I needed it to adjust my guitar. It worked perfectly, and came with the added bonus of me being able to assemble a new desk I bought!The red holder is very handy and displays the size of each key so you'll never be confused. If you need a set of Allen keys, you cannot go wrong with these.

Amazing service - ordered late at night after my son had woken me up slamming our PVC front door that was sticking - had no idea what size Allen key was needed just that it had to be L shaped to reach the door hinges in a recessed frame so this kit with a wide range of sizes was perfect. Received the next day and within 5 minutes of opening had tightened my PVC front door hinges and had a quietly closing door. Now just to teach said son how to stagger up stairs like a mouse rather than an elephant with a depth perception problem and my world will be complete! Thank you.

This set of Alan keys were purchased to replace another where the holder had broken so they were all falling out.I don't like the sets where they are all attached onto a single keychain so this one looked perfectReally happy with the set. They are sturdy and the holder itself is perfect for easy access. This is something that everyone needs for their tool kit!
