Van Gogh Oil Pastel, Round Full Stick, 60-Piece Set

I have been a life-long fan of Van Gogh, and decided to buy these pastels on a whim after seeing the brand. To my surprise they are soft, very pigmented, and easy to blend, with a great range of colours to suit your needs. The best oil pastels I have used to date, and will definitely re-order again! :)

Great value oil pastel set. I've been using them as base layer for oil pastel paintings, using neopastels and senneliers over them. The colour range is great they are a little less creamy than neopastel and a little less vibrant than Sennelier but they are also less than half the price.

Ive purchased several different sets of oil pastels from cheap to expensive...these fit into the midrange they have good colour are firm and blend reasonably well... they are good value

A gift for an artist. Good quality, second time I've bought them.

In my art class we are using oil pastels on painted canvas, then applying turps and more paint. I find these don't adhere well to the surface, and when I apply the other media the colour slides off. Some classmates bought a much more expensive brand, which I tried for comparison, and it was like chalk and cheese ( or chalk and butter, as the more expensive pastels are soft and creamy). If I were buying oil pastels again I'd buy a very small pack of the expensive ones. I went for quantity over quality and am regretting it. I've only used a handful of colours from the 60 in the pack, and because I can't see how you'd blend these successfully, probably won't touch around 50 of the pastels.
