James & The Giant Peach DVD

My children watched James and the giant peach on DVD over and over again they enjoyed it so much. That was years ago and now they're all grown up so I thought I'd buy it to see if it's a worthy watch now.It definitely is a worthy watch. My daughter watched it as soon as I bought it too and said it was as good as she remembered.It's a mix of real people and animation. The story is a children's mix of peril and laughter. The story is thoroughly entertaining in my view of how the huge peach rolls down the hill with James and a whole family of creepy crawlies.Surely everyone's seen this though right and if you haven't you're missing out on something brilliant.My recommendation is go and buy it you won't regret getting this classic children's tale.

My 19 year old daughter remembered this from her childhood and we really enjoyed watching it again with my 9 year old foster son who loved it. Despite it being over 20 years old it is still a classic and a great representation of the book.

Excellent movie. My 34 year old grandson loves it. It's as good now as it was many years ago on its first release. The only potential 'scarey' bit was when the 'rhinoceros ' appears.

Bought this recently for my son to watch while he was ill. The quality of the picture was poor as was the sound.

Super DVD. I bought for my class to watch after we finished the novel. The storyline of the DVD differs from the book so beware if your children are anal and weird about this type of thing as it generated lots of discussion! Still a super dvd, half real, half animated, Joanna Lumley is just fantastic.

My children and I liked the book, the film didn't quite hit the mark for us, visually pleasing but felt like it dragged on a bit.

My girl has read the book but never seen the film so I got it for her and she really enjoyed watching it. Fantastic family film
