Boards4U Large 60x80cm Magnetic Chalkboard

I brought this for my 22month old as you can use chalk and magnetic letters and numbers on it. It was put on his bedroom wall and he absolutely loves it! At last he does not get told off for drawing on the walls! In time it will be a fantastic learning aid. He loves it when I spell out his name with the letters or draw a picture in chalk. It will last him a long time as it comes with some magnets so he will be able to hang up his little paintings from school and who knows a memo board for when he is a lot older. The quality of this product is very good. It would look great in the kitchen as it looks expensive.

Pros:Very beautiful board, looks great!I tried regular chalks and chalk markers and both work great, although the chalk markers do leave a "ghost trace" when wiped, I think it's because the board is a little bit porous. But it doesn't bother me since it's almost invisible when you write on top of it again.Magnetic! It's really nice that I can put some photos with magnets and then write on the sides and draw borders with the markers!Perfect size for me as all the others I found are 60cm x 90cm and this one is 60cm x 80cmCons:The back of the board seems like a cheap wood surface that left wood powder all over my bed when I rested it there for a while.The pieces for wall mounting seem cheap and poorA little pricey compared to other boards, I found many other costing between £15 and £25, but as stated on the "Pros" section, this was the only one with the perfect size and the beautiful wooden frame.

I bought this to display our ever growing collection of fridge magnets. I liked this board so much, I bought another one. They look good, are solidly made and are perfect for the job. Perhaps a bit expensive, but I looked around and there was nothing to beat it on either looks or price. It certainly looks a lot better than a white 'office' board would look on our kitchen wall......

It looks the part sure enough and looks good where I've used it instead of the electric fire I had hung on the chimney Brest. Kids love doodling on it!To say they don't 'paint it' with magnetic paint is somewhat untrue, as it's still got the paint on, even if they haven't used a brush to do it. Witness marks on the rear demonstrate this!It does take a magnet, but I wouldn't be pinning your hopes on displaying all of your paperwork on it, might only take double sheets at most. I think it's overpriced for what it is, but very few alternatives about and it does look the part. I'm satisfied, let's put it that way!

I ordered this board for my wedding and as I tried to write on it with chalk pens, that the board was supposedly compatible with it ruined the board. I was only pressing lightly and still the chalk paint on the board came up and left a horrible indent of the writhing. I needed this board for my wedding in 2 days time and therefore paid alot for it. So dissapointed, it was a total waste of money and now with one day to go I now have to try and get a proper board that does not do this.

I would of liked to return this item but unable to contact seller. Due to fixings on the back we had to screw holes in wooden frame in order for the board to be fixed firmly to the wall. The board was seasoned but after wiping clean after initial use some of the black came off and also I am left with a white patch on the board. No extreme force was used when writing or cleaning the board. No chemicals were used other than a wet cloth and a dry one. I am unsure of how to make the board better as I assume returning would be not acceptable due to the two holes that are now in the frame. This was quite an expensive purchase as I was keen to have a blackboard that was also magnetic. I hope the seller can get back to me on how to proceed.

Having recently moved house with no magnetic fridge door to put those all-important invites and reminders, I really wanted a large, classy looking noticeboard and that's just what I got. The frame is good quality and looks expesive and the magnetic black board is big enough to hold everything we need. I'm sure there are cheaper boards out there, but they will look much cheaper. Very happy with my purchase!

I bought this for my kitchen and have to say it looks great. It's handy to use as a jot pad or to remind me when I need to buy something from the shops. However at the moment, the biggest novelty is using it as a "plat de jour" menu board when I'm cooking for my wife. This use has earned me much favour with the missus. Oh yes, and it's magnetic.
