NLT Student Life Application Study Bible, Filament Enabled (Hardcover, Red Letter)

What a great little Bible for students! It's got a basic hardback cover, no dustcover, but that's okay. The pages inside are normal Bible paper thickness (thin, but normal for a Bible). The font is small, but not too small. If the student/reader can see well or wears glasses, they'll be fine with the font. BIG PLUS: This is a red letter Bible. I ordered too, and while I liked the other one better due to the appearance of the cover, it was not a red letter, so this one was the winner. The student I gave it to loved it! Looks great with silver Bible tabs.

I got these for my church’s youth students and they love it. All the great notes from the life application study Bible in a more manageable hardback size. It is a perfect size for a backpack or Bible study.

I was not raised in the church. My dad, an agnostic and sarcastic critic of "religion", said church was "the poor man's country club. We were dropped off at Sunday School by our mother and picked up when it ended. My parents were good, law-abiding, morally upright people; but they didn't attend church except for weddings and funerals. I was 69 before I was baptized, 71 before I had memorized the books of the bible, and 72 before I joined a church. I have read many bibles and have written all over the margins, underlined, and highlighted as I "got" some of the nuggets within them. I have attended several apologetics conferences where I listened to Erwin Lutzer, Paul Washer, Josh McDowell, Chuck Colson, and others; trying to "get it". This bible is SO important to me! I chose the NLT because it's in the vernacular of my time. (I find it somewhat hard to understand language that doesn't contain contractions.) in this bible, I read everything on every page and study every map and picture so that I am finally getting a real picture of the real lives of the real people in the bible. I am receiving more knowledge and blessing out of this bible than from any other that I've read. My only complaint is that I thought it was going to be a larger font. I have to use my magnifying glass on some items and had to buy stronger "readers" than I usually use. That being said, it's good to learn how to cook before you can become a chef; and this bible is helping me so much in that regard. My only negative is that pronouns referring to God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit (he, his, him, etc) are not capitalized. This can be confusing (example Romans 1:2) I go through and underline EVERY one of these pronouns in green just to help me know to whom the pronoun refers.

Easy to understand, pretty colors, nice pictures and charts, good commentary overall. The pages are thin and stick together so sometimes it’s frustrating trying to flip around through it but surprisingly highlighters don’t really leak through the pages which is really nice.

I loved this Bible...it is now my go to Bible. I loved the resources, character profiles, The Big Story, The questions and notes throughout the Bible. It is red lettered, which is a plus. I have it on Kindle plus the physical copy.

This Bible is absolutely perfect for anybody who is a follower of Jesus. I have never owned a student Bible before, and to be completely honest I probably will not buy another Bible after this purchase. This Bible is easy to understand in the new living translation and the Bible is actually, very nicely sized. It fits into my purse or my book bag very easily, and it is not a hassle to carry it around weight wise. I am in love with Filament app that is included with this Bible. The app goes into greater detail in the notes that are included with the Bible, but every feature in this Bible is amazing for you to learn about your faith and for you to even grow your knowledge about God and his word. I recommend this Bible and that is interested in learning about the Bible and what it really has to say to us and how it can be applied to our life. It is worth every dollar spent I can honestly say this Bible, a notebook, and the Assistance from the Filament app is all I need for a crucial Bible study session ❤️❤️❤️

I bought this as a gift and I'm thrilled I did. The app is stuck a great added tool for my niece to use as she dives into scripture. This was my first NLT version purchase as well and I was very surprised how much I enjoyed it as I added her Bible tabs. Highly recommend for young adults!

Excellent Bible!!! I am over 30 and find this Bible amazing! The study notes are not overwhelming but at the same time it is packed with helpful insights and resources. Highly recommend for teens, young adults and old.

This Study Bible would not open on my laptop only on my Kindle I use this product for writing sermons for church so it was useless to me. I could read it on my Kindle but that is not what I bought it for. The only info I received was a notice telling me to upgrade my PC. Mine is still windows 10 but all other Study Bibles work on it. I will be very careful of Amazon in future with these sorts of products.

The Bibles has the perfect size, the graphic design is beautiful and the App that comes with the Bible is super useful! That’s probably the best Study Bible I had so far. 100% recommendation to anyone else!

This promises to be a rich study resource. Paired with the app, this Bible is FULL of potential for the study of any passage.
