Excellent!
Superb spade. I dug 6x 2 foot post holes and it only took about 15-20 minutes per hole. Quality is excellent. I seen reviews saying it was heavy but I'm 5'4 and slim build and I didn't find it heavy. It's solid and great for knocking loose fairly large stones while digging holes. Well worth the money.

Absolutely brilliant spade. Strong, well made, narrow, good for doing difficult digging jobs in a small space. Excellent for extracting deep roots.

Well Made Spade From Proper Manufacturer
Quality spade fro a quality British manufacturer. I have been using this to dig large fence post holes it’s absolutely invaluable very sturdy and you can put an enormous amount of strain on it. If you are digging posts in or trenches buy this

Strong and sturdy
Bought this for digging fence post holes,very good build feels strong and feel it will last,used for one job and coped with ease to hard digging conditions,probably heavier than the more expensive insulated handle type but for the price excellent value

It is good, but it is heavy.
I have 14 x 4" round posts to put in rocky / rooty ground to a depth of 2 to 3 feet.This tool (in combination with a hole digger from another seller) has made the job MUCH easier.It is long and slender but VERY sturdy. It is great for loosening obstacles whilst mainting a clean narrow hole.WARNING - the tool is heavy to use after a short time. This is not a critisim of the tool. Anything less robust would not be capable of loosening the rocks in the way of the holes I need to create.Very happy with purchase. Right tool for the right job. Hope this helps.

Does the job
Bought this for digging post holes down to 2 foot depth, absolutely brilliant and strongly built. Easy to use and leaves nice sides inside the hole.

Ideal for digging trenches
Used to dig a trench to bury a pipe - worked a treat, able to go deep and narrow. Perfect!

Strong, reliable - tackles those nasty docks....
Perfect device for getting into the ground and tackling those long rooted weeds (Docks, Thistles, etc). This is a strong device - recommended for the purposes of getting stuck in!
