This blender is the best!
I use it to make smoothies now but will work on soup recipes and others that rhe blender can perform. So far great product. A little loud but does the job!

Pretty Impressed So Far
I have to say that I'm impressed with this blender. Having owned three different Vitamix blenders including two of the professional versions, as well as a couple of other brands like NutriBullet, etc., this blender is incredible for the price. One of the things that makes a good high speed blender is a powerful motor and many of the lesser expensive brands and models have sub 1000 Watt motors. This one has a 1.2HP, 1000 Watt motor and a very aggressive chopping blade. The other thing I really like about this blender is dimensions of the 53oz container. It's wide enough to make it easy to clean but not so wide that you can't make small amounts of whatever your processing in the blender. The other nice feature is that the extractor blade (the container base) is easily removable which makes hand cleaning much easier. The vacuum feature is very nice! Simple to use and pretty fast at pulling a full vacuum. The vacuum pump is easily and safely stored in the back of the blender motor base. Very nice design idea by the way. I recently purchased the Pado Ozen vacuum blender which was more than twice the cost of this blender and this Mecity is superior in every way. Not the least of which is that it has twice the amount of power.Overall, I would highly recommend this blender

Arrived with 2 main buttons not working. Quality Control issue for this Blender.
I was excited to received a vacuum blender. Look beautiful and just the right size. That was the initial excitement and then the disappointment. Turn on the unit and lock the jar in position, the Blender button and Nutri Button dead and not even light up. Press the button and nothing happened. All the others buttons work perfectly. This is Quality check issues. Very disappointed and had to return it the next day. Hope if I decided to order again it will be a good unit.

Best blender!
I was making a smoothie one day and my old blender finally gave up on life. I immediately hit Amazon and after a few hours of research I settled on this model. It’s more than I have ever spent on a blender but I’m hoping it will last a long long time. The blades are super sharp and crush ice in record time, the smoothie recipes are awesome and the sports cup that came with it is perfect! I make my smoothies directly in that cup and makes enough for two smoothies. I drink what I want and then toss the bottle into the freezer until the next day, I just take it out about an hour before I know I’ll want it and viola! It’s ready. If your ready to invest I’d recommend this beauty! And yes it can be loud but it’s a blender so I think that’s to be expected.***To be fair I have not used the vacuum seal on this model yet so I cannot speak to the feature***

Don't believe the hype!
RIght now I am drinking a smoothie with unpeeled cooked sweet potato pieces, apple with core, strawberries with tops, raw broccoli, bunch of ice, some powdered supplements and it is delicious.I have a Blendtec and this is actually smoother. Blendtec and Vitamix try to convince you that every other blender will just give you liquid grit, but this is just as smooth and has no air. Shortly after purchase I received an email from the seller thanking me and offering assistance in the future, nice touch. I did end up with a problematic part, and when I contacted them about it, they sent another immediately after confirming that it was broken and I had it in two days (Saturday delivery, no less). It's also much quieter than my Blendtec. Reminds me of car reviews that show high speed slaloms or driving across a swamp; I'm sure the Blendtec will be handy if I need to pulverize a comet, dispose of a body, or knead bread dough made from my drawer of dead cell phones, but, as a daily driver, this is the blender I go to. It's very dramatic to see the liquid go down an inch when I release the vacuum, better nutrition and easier on the stomach.I don't leave a lot of reviews, but the customer service was so good that I wanted to repay their responsiveness and dispel some of the mystique of the $400 blender wars for the daily user. Okay, now I'm on a rant, but if you watch demos of the expensive blenders, they blend the juice for a few minutes while they talk and put out cups, etc., and a youtube channel for Vitamix recommends hearing protection for their kids, and I used to put my arm over my head to cover my left ear with my bicep and put my finger in my right ear.I got the extended coverage, so even if I end up spending $80 every four years, it's still more comfortable and puts out a better smoothie. It's nice to pour it into one cup instead of having to overflow into another, and not have an inch of foam as I come to the bottom of my glass. And someone said that you can use the vacuum pump for the bags that have a vacuum seal on them, but I haven't tried that yet.If anything changes, I'll edit this post.

Difficult to place the containers on the base
The blender has a nice appearance and seems well built. However, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get the containers to attach to the blender.

Works well
The problem George A. & others mention is due to not screwing the base with the blades onto the carafe as tightly as possible. Nice machine for the price. No info. on how often or for how long the vacuum pump should be charged. Read the manual to see how to charge the vacuum pump. Makes quick work of turning water, bananas, and frozen berries into a smoothie, so you don't taste the kale. I'm looking forward to trying more recipes.

Eliminate emulsifier with this VACUUM blender
Better than my Vitamix! Sorry Vitamix, you are heavy, bulky and louder than this new Vacuum blender. And my Vitamix isn't vacuum capable.I bought the vacuum to blend an oil and a water based ingredient without needing to add an emulsifier. It does this perfectly!Truly, this blender is a joy to use because the company ntrols are thoughtful too. I think my Vitamix is was built with a commercial use in mind, but I have grown to dread getting it out; it's too much. This Mecity makes a full sized carafe without the bulk.
