Pretty Darn Good Rod
I’m pleased with this rod, I fish a lot in Idaho for bass and we don’t have a ton of cover to worry about. I paired this with an older Lews speed spool and 12lb test and use it as my top water rod and it does a great job. Feel light in your hand and is fairly sensitive for a inexpensive rod. I would buy another for sure! The guys complaining about bad craftsmanship should take a better look at the packaging, mine wasn’t packaged well and it snapped literally the first cast.

Line guide inserts are cheap and fall out.
I do like this rod in some ways. It was reasonably priced, feels good in the hand, and has good action. When one of the line guide inserts fell out I wasn't to concerned. Bring handy I order a line guide repair kit (which worked great)and kept fishing. Since the first fix three more of the guide have fallen out. I have Walmart rods that have never lost these after years of use and I only used this food a few month before that happened. Wouldn't not buy again..

A lively rod!
I bought this rod to complement the vintage ambassadeur 5000 bait casting reel. I recently acquired. The real fits it well it’s quite the lively rod to be medium action and I’m anxious to catch a fish with it.

This rod is a solid pick up for a budget rod and can’t beat the price for what you get. Buy it if you want a good all around rod.
