Killers - Wonderful Wonderful - CD

Great but not Awesome
The problem with having an amazing first album like Hot Fuss, The Killers were never going to replicate that success. They gave us perfection, and left themselves nowhere to go.Saying that, I have loved all of the albums, and this one is growing on me.There’s a couple of tracks that have The Killers stamp on them, but much as I love him.. this is a personal Brandon Flowers album which the rest of the band play on.With Dave Keuning and Mark Stoermer, in and out of the band, it would be sad if this was their final album.I know they’re not 20 something’s any more, but I would rather listen to ‘Jenny Was a Friend of Mine’ or ‘Glamorous Indie Rock and Roll’, than anything that came after..I still have Wonderful Wonderful on repeat in the car though :)

Worth the wait
A mix of various Killers styles here. The opening (title) track I find difficult to get into and disappointing but as the album unfolds the songs get better and better. Run For Cover and Tyson vs Douglas are two of the best tracks they've released for a long time. I always find the Killers albums contain a mix of songs I'm not sure about and songs I love, and this is the same. Still it's a strong album and well worth the wait. I'm hoping that the apparent reduction in personnel of the band isn't signalling their end. They are one of the few exciting, quality live bands around these days.

A Great Album - From Track 3 Onwards!
On first listening I was a bit disappointed with this album because the first two songs seemed a bit lifeless to me so I really hoped the rest of the songs would be better. Luckily, from the third song on the album did get much better. After listening to it all the way through it then had really clicked with me and I've played it numerous times since then and love it - admittedly though I do tend to start from track 3 because the first two tracks to me are a bit insipid and lack the 'oomph' and sparkle of the other tracks. I have to say as well that the songs I do really love - tracks 3 to 10 - seem on the short side to me, which is a bit disappointing. I just wish they were longer! Overall though, it's a very good album and, for me, a real grower and one I wouldn't want to be without now.

Found something we both like.
"our missus, what do you want for your birthday?". The answer; " that new killers album". Who? I'm normally listening to the heavier stuff like immolation and messuggah so the killers are new to me. Put this on as we were decorating the front room. Surprisingly good!! Second track ' The Man' is a good one, and judging by the guitar sound on the final track the killer folks have got Mark Knopfler on board. Buy it, borrow it or steal it if you have to. Its good!

Give it a spin
Hard to describe this album a u2 sounding opening. The man and rut follow then a couple of more familiar sounding tracks in life to come, run for cover Tyson v Douglas then the dreamy some kind of wonderful, out of my mind follows before the funky the calling ,ending with have all the songs been written,It will need a couple of plays but I like it.

Weakest Killers album so far. Has a couple of ...
Weakest Killers album so far. Has a couple of standout tracks. But not up to the (albeit incredibly high) standard of their previous releases.

Love it!!
LOVE IT!!! Love The Killers and this album has no disappointed me. Got to see them for the first time in 2017 while they tour this album and they sound just as good live if not better.... This is a favourite and has been on repeat in the car and around the house for a while now.
