I bought this product after going through various reviews as I was looking for an alternative to Original Brylcreem which also shades out grey hair, it's not so greasy as the Brylcreem, I've been using this product for a month now and found it being a little hard work applying as you have to rub in to the hair and blend accordingly, once covered and styled leaves hair looking more youthful. Not sure whether this actually darkens the hair over time but hoping to see whether this happens. I am quite grey but applying this product has darken the grey and brought out my natural black hair. At the beginning felt slight itching but slowly have been fading, I wash my hair twice a week but if you wash every day I don't think this product will work just my opinion but you can experiment it in various ways again depending how grey you actually are the outcome will be different for individual. Comment on price okay and delivery was received within specified time, I am male.

Good stuff...my dad used it in the 1930's he mentioned in the 1980's ( wondering if I had came across it ,he was using olive oil instead) I hadn't seen it anywhere' until I was looking on-line 3 years ago... I'm now using it , it's "excellent" it does darkens my hair...but not as severe as "Just for men" which I tried a couple of times , but with Pomade you have control on how much grey hair you want to cover.... it is best if rubbed into hair correctly

A very old product, at least 60 years to my knowledge. I use it for hair control rather than darkening. My father was a gents hairdresser and used it himself. He told me that this was its original use but they changed the description as users were saying and some complaining that it darkened their hair! Maybe that is why it is still being made!

Doesn’t smell the same as the original

Smells very nice – like old-fashioned cologne (cinnamon & orange and herbs). It would be very good as a hair oil for dry, frizzy and coarse hair... However, I haven't noticed any darkening of greys after several uses.I do get a very faint, unpleasant metallic taste in my mouth after using it, which makes me not want to use it as much as I would like. I assume that is the active ingredient.

Good product , still really getting used to it so only 4 star at the minute
