Great Gift
Mrs C loves, in fact, adores all things coffee. She has the ambition to own her own coffee house. I bought this book as a Christmas gift and she loved it. It is almost an encyclopaedia of coffee making and gives great advice on running a coffee shop. Whilst the content of the book leaves me cold, for a coffee lover, it is full of great content and interesting ideas. As such I am happy to Recommend this book to any lover of coffee who wants to know more.

A fantastic book on all things coffee, a must buy!
I write this review as I'm enjoying my first brew with an Aeropress inspired by this book. A fantastic book on all things coffee. If your new to coffee, an enthusiast or a barista then this is the book for you. Beautifully written, well informed and everything you need to know about coffee, from the history of coffee to the many different being methods and much more.I've actually bought this book twice now, once for me and another for a gift.A must buy!

Good
I have the Curious Bartenders book for cocktails and I adore it, so I saw this and thought I'd try it out. It's informative about coffee and how it's roasted, brewed, where it comes from etc. Only disappointment was that I was hoping for more drinks/styles/"cocktails" but there are only a few. Still a decent book though! Good gift for coffee lovers who aren't expecting it to be like his previous books.

Coffee world.
This is a really informative book which has become something of a reference for me. Bought a new blend the other day and it turned out bitter. This manual explained the matter of "over extraction" and a tweak of my Rancilio resulted in a wonderful deeply flavoured and satisfying cup. The volume happens to be an interesting read and at times an inspiration to try different things. Most enjoyable.

Perfect background material about the coffee business
I want to go into the coffee shop business without any prior work experience in this field. I needed something which would give a clear and simple explanation about the coffee world. This book was it. It is very well made and written. It feels and looks luxurious. The covers are thick and velvety as a good milk coffee should be! The pages are parchment quality. The photos are rich and vibrant. Unlike other books purporting to be about the world of coffee, this book is not padded out with cookery instructions involving coffee. It has all the information I needed. It is well written and kept my attention which is why it only took me a weekend to finish reading most of it. However, this book does not deal with the financial and marketing aspects of running a coffee shop. That is another subject matter which is why I bought a separate book for that.
