Q: what is the sell by date

They don't give a 'sell by'date but the 'best before' date is July 2015. The reality is that they are useable much longer than that and I cannot detect any deterioration after 2 years if the tins are closed properly after each use. You can.of course, keep them vacu-sealed if you want to be ultra cautious. I do that sometimes at the end of the bbq season but nowadays I use them pretty much like salt and pepper!
