I use this for monitoring my forge heat. Quality. It goes up to 2600 degrees or so which is the heat rating of my forge. Comfortable to hold. Easy to use.

This is a good price for a narrow beam IR gun. You’ve got adjustable emissivity and the fun reads accurately. But there is a problem.It’s a narrow beam gun and the laser sights are very poorly aimed. My guess is that they throw this thing in a jig at the factory and adjust the laser modules to hit some predetermined target, but this was crazy far off from where the IR optics actually aim. I dissected my gun and the optics are fixed to the plastic frame, and the two laser modules are in ball joints so they can be adjusted. But they were glued in place at the factory with cyanoacrylate glue. I razored them free, but destroyed one of the two in the process. With one still functional, I rigged up a candle warmer hotplate about 20ft away, got the gun aimed at it based on temp reading, adjusted the single working laser module, and glued it back in place with just high temp hot glue. It took a fair amount of effort to fix this issue, but now I’d say it’s comparable to an IR gun twice the price.

Purchased to monitor temp of new wood burning stove. It seems very accurate, easy to use and read. Gives readings immediately. Hubby is now using to check temps on other items in house for safety and peace of mind. There is inferred light so be careful not to shine direct at someone or into eyes.

I’ve only used it a couple of time but works well to identify temps in various locations on the griddle. Makes cooking different ingredients at the same time. Response is really fast on the actual temperature.

I just started to make my own plastic baits… I ordered this infrared laser temperature gun. I think it worked very well!!!! The experts told me that it only gives surface temperature.. The experts said to use the probe that comes with it. In my opinion the probe absolutely failed to register the accurate temperature..
