Microsoft JUG-00014 LifeChat LX 3000 Headset - Black

I bought 2 sets of these headphones. My first was bought from a local High Street chain at way more than the price Amazon were charging. Got them home, used them, then my son decided he liked them so he pinched them. Bought myself a pair from Amazon and they were delivered very quickly. This headset is so simple to install, literally plug it in and away you go. I use them for Skype, MSN and gaming and they are very comfortable to wear. I wear glasses and have found that with other headsets, my glasses dig into the side of my head after about 30 minutes wear making them very uncomfortable/sore to wear. These fitted round my head perfectly and no problems with my glasses, and I have worn these for hours at a time. The sound quality was very good, whether I was listening to music or game playing. No problems with the mic quality either, it's just a case of messing around with your mic settings until you get it to a quality that you like. I have recommended this headset to friends and family and I'm going to buy another pair due to the fact that my son has managed to break the mic on both my set and his. Not a fault with the headset, just a very heavy handed teenage boy.

Good headphones for the price. Very comfortable, the sound absolutely fine. I did have a couple of problems, but they were all easily solved. 1. They worked with Windows Live Messenger perfectly straight away. However, on other applications I could only get the mic to work; the sound was still coming out through my speakers. A brief search on the Microsoft website found the solution. For Windows Vista and Windows 7 users, go to Start and type "mmsys.cpl" in the search bar, then open the file. This allows you to choose the default sound device; you need to change this each time to switch between speakers and headset. It's not too much hassle though, so I don't mind. 2. When I installed the software it said that I wasn't using a compatible version of Windows...I'm running Windows 7. That seemed odd, but doesn't affect how they perform. The software on the disc isn't essential to their functionality. These issues were minor however, as they now function perfectly exactly how I wanted them to, so the product gets 5 stars. Incredibly comfortable, sound good, a nice sturdy boom and the mic is clear as day.

I have an analogue jack headset which can be a pain regarding noise quality so, deciding to purchase a digital one with superior quality and enhanced performance, I searched in shops and department stores in my town and felt disappointed that this product seemed to be out of stock quite a bit and I urgently needed to get this product within 24 hours for a new job, speaking to members of the public so, I decided to purchase one from Amazon. Not only was it in stock, the enormous amount of positive reviews impressed me even further as to how good this product is. It was promised to arrive via express delivery by the following day by about 1pm (I ordered it about 5pm the previous day). It arrived at 10am the next day and was packaged very well, was easy to set up (just plug the usb connector into the computer and away you go). All in all it's very impressive and fast and efficient service! It feels very comfortable on the head (in the short-term for about 2 hours) and, due to the nice soft thick padding to rest on the ears (depends on the size of each person's head though lol) it can be adjusted via sliding sections on the top of the head but I find if the headset is worn for several hours (more than 2) your ears hurt a little even though it's gentle pressure from the padded ear sections, so if you only plan on wearing it for an hour or two then it's ok. As a music-lover, I thought 'Hmmm, let's listen to some songs to test how good the sound quality really is' and was pleased to hear crystal-clear sound. The volume can be adjusted to a higher or lower setting via a function on the headset lead which was easy to use, also, there is a button to click to reduce noise problems (crackling, hissing etc) to enhance the quality of sound when using the microphone feature. If you have Windows 8 as the operating system on your computer, and have any problems with getting the headset to work (it can work or not, depending on the computer), go to Microsoft's official site, download a compatibility file, and it will work fine on Windows 7 and on other operating systems. Brilliant I thought! I recommend this product to others as it's pretty good and not too expensive either as I've seen it priced a lot higher elsewhere. Oh and if you fancy a quiet day and need some peace (noisy kids, neighbours, workmen digging up the road outside your house etc etc), it'll save you buying earplugs too if you just slip on your headset and relax. ;-) Bliss.

Bought this along with Logitech C270 HD Webcam - Black as my built in laptop microphone was rubbish and i needed one for an online distance language course where having a clear microphone was really important! The microphone is really really good, much better than a build in one or the one on a pair of in ear headphones, and for not much more ££! The sound quality is really clear too which is a must, of course! I didn't find them THE most noise cancelling things, but for the price, they are still very good! The ear pads are very comfortable, which to me is important when i had long lessons where i had to wear them. Since the pads are big, the ear fits inside comfortably instead of them pressing on the ear which i find irritating. The microphone is nice and adjustable and fold up which is good when travelling just to make them that much more compact. I don't think they are the best looking headset out there, but to me that didn't matter, plus the quality more than made up for that. Also, I found that the inline controls are a nice size and are easy to find when needed, however, it is pretty low down the wire which makes it easy to occasionally mute (as i did a couple of times) with your leg/arm. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product as it is good comfy, good quality and good value for money!

C'est peu dire que le Lifechat LX-3000 est un excellent produit. Livré comme prévu sous 48 h, en très bon état, on se l'arrache chez moi et on irait jusqu'à le camoufler pour en avoir l'exclusivité. Nous sommes unanimes, toutes générations confondues, pour lui attribuer de très bonnes notes. Il rafle les étoiles. Sa solidité, sa légèreté et la facilité de réglage du micro, des écouteurs et du tour de tête répondent à notre besoin d'avoir un appareil polyvalent et fiable que l'on déplace et partage sans avoir à prendre d'infinies précautions. Facile à monter sur port USB, il possède un câble long avec une télécommande très pratique. Son confort d'écoute n'a rien à envier à d'autres casques bien plus chers. Le son est facile à régler et permet de ne pas s'esquinter les oreilles. On a, quelque soit l'usage que l'on en fait (communication par internet, multimédia, jeux, écoute radio, etc.), une excellente qualité d'écoute. Que l'on se rassure, si j'ai du mal à lutter contre mes enfants et depuis peu contre mes petits enfants pour avoir "mon" casque en journée, je me rattrape en soirée pour "chater" avec mes amis, inventer les commentaires audios de mes montages photos et surtout écouter jusqu'au petit matin ma station anglaise préférée à moins que je ne sois réveillé (seul point faible du casque) par les démangeaisons d'une utilisation trop intensive du pavillon d'écouteur. Bref je recommande à tous cet appareil multi usage au rapport qualité prix excellent, à l'ergonomie bien pensée.

Ich habe diese Kopfhörer jetzt zum 2. mal gekauft. Der erste Kauf ist ca. 4 Jahre her. Die Kopfhörer haben mir damals einen sehr guten Dienst erwiesen. Die nun gekauften gleichen Kopfhörer werden sicher das gleiche tun. Die Qualität des Micros ist sehr gut, auf beiden Seiten des Skype Gesprächs. Der Gesprächspartner/in hört also kein doofes rauschen oder ähnliches. Der Ton ist für den Preis mehr als ausreichend. Man könnte eher sagen für den Preis ist die Qualität des Tons ausgezeichnet. Das Anschließen und erkennen am PC war bis jetzt total problemlos. Der Tragekomfort ist sehr gut aber nach ungefähr 6-8 Stunden tragen taten mir immer ein wenig das Ohr weh was nicht angenehm war. Deshalb hatte ich für längere Pc-Games-Exzesse (Lan-Part etc.) noch super flauschige Kopfhörer von Razer. Das einzige Manko war, das der Lederbezug nach ca. 3 Jahren anfing brüchig zu werden und sich bröckchenweise verabschiedete. Ich habe dennoch 5 Sterne gegeben da ich das für den Preis, der guten Ton und Micro Qualität akzeptabel finde. Absolute Weiterempfehlung bei diesem guten Preis Leistungsverhältnis!

En lo personal uso este auricular todos los días, antes tuve uno igual de Microsoft que me duró casi un año, eso me decepcionó un poco, este es un modelo más reciente y espero me dure un poco más.

Los utilizo para el trabajo y son cómodos yde gran calidad de los materiales y el sonido perfecto. El micrófono perfecto.

Das Headset verwende ich regelmäßig im Home Office für internationale MS Teams Meetings. Die Sprachqualität ist in beide Richtungen sehr gut und Umgebungsgeräusche werden sehr wirkungsvoll unterdrückt. Den Tragekomfort empfinde ich auch als sehr gut. Lediglich mechanisch ist dieses Headset etwas empfindlich. Nachdem mir eins durch Unachtsamkeit mal zerbrochen ist, habe jedoch sogleich wieder dasselbe Model bestellt.
