Great mat and brilliant value for money. It is nice and stick so no slipping or sliding when holding a pose. No horrible toxic smells and the colours to choose from are great. The thickness is good brilliant length and when you lift up there is a little imprint from hands or feet (which feel really supported on the mat) but the impressions simply puff out

YogaMatters have been in business for some years and this is one of the best yoga mats available anywhere. It performs exactly as is needed to keep you stable and comfortable in poses. Their mats are thick and long-lasting though slightly heavy to carry around, but comfort and safety are my priorities.

Having used this mat daily for about 1 month now, I am not experiencing the lack of grip that other reviewers mentioned. To the contrary, I find the mat very grippy, and material provides, for me, an optimal balance of firmness and softness. The mat is also nice and wide. In general, I find this mat to make my practice much more enjoyable and responsive. I do not have experience with more expensive mats that advanced practitioners may use, but for the price I suspect this may be one of the better values out there.

The photo is of my new Wisteria mat with new purple brick and two purple blocks bought in May 2019. I am pleased with my purchases, though I was a little disappointed when I opened the mat as the colour was not quite as pretty as it appeared on screen. At first I found the mat very slippery as though I had sweaty hands and feet and so posted a question on 21st January. I received a good reply from Yogamatters and although I did not wash the mat as suggested now three weeks later with about 4 zoom yogas a week the mat is wearing in and I do not slide when in downward dog. I am not quite sure what the 'sticky' refers to in the description as it is no different from my previous other brand mat which was not labelled as 'sticky'! The mat is 4.5mm thick (to the highest bump) which I thought was the same as my old one, but I now reckon that was 1mm thicker, but the difference on my knees and lying on my back is quite noticeable. Having said that nothing is too painful and I will continue to use this one quite happily until it wears out!

Very prompt delivery. The colour ‘mineral’ is fairly neutral…didn’t want something too bright for yoga. My old mat was 25 years old …! so time for a new one. I researched a bit before buying . Wanted a mat that was free from unnecessary chemicals and associated smell. I like the fabric tag embedded in it…Yoga matters…yes it does! It will wear in a bit with use .

Really good value, good width not too thick

The mat looks & feels good quality but as a beginner it’s not as sticky as the marketing would have you believe. I borrowed a Yoga Matters mat from a friend and theirs is vastly more sticky. This mat is marketed as a beginners mat but in my experience it is slightly disappointing.

Love it!!! More padding and less slip than my previous mat and lovely colour , rolls out really nicely would definitely recommend thank you!

Ich habe die Matte nun seit drei Wochen in täglichem Gebrauch (ca. 45-60min) und kann bisher nichts Negatives behaupten. Die Matte hat zwar zu Beginn ganz leicht gerochen, aber nicht extrem oder unangenehm. Mittlerweile riecht sie gar nicht mehr! Sie schützt auch genug (ich bin eigentlich total empfindlich und bekomme wenn meine Knie den Boden berühren und ich mich bewege immer blaue Flecken, das ist mit der Matte nicht der Fall ;)) Und sie geht ebenfalls schnell wieder in ihre ursprüngliche Form zurück und rutscht nicht rum. Ich bin durchweg zufrieden. Zur Haltbarkeit kann ich allerdings aktuell nichts sagen.

Die Matte gefällt durch ihre gute aufrollbare und selbsthaftende Eigenschaft. Sehr empfehlenswert. Angenehm im Griff. Wunderbare Farben - mal was anderes.

Habe mir die Sticky nach 6 Monaten regelmäßiger Yoga-Praxis gekauft und finde sie für den Preis hervorragend. Ich hatte vorher eine stinknormale Gymnastikmatte aus dem Supermarkt und bin gerade im Downward Dog immer sehr schnell gerutscht. Als 100%ig "sticky" würde ich die Matte zwar trotzdem nicht bezeichnen, aber ein bisschen selbst arbeiten und halten muss man denke ich schon noch. Oder einfach das 3-fache ausgeben?? Weil hier so viel über den Geruch gelästert wird: der Geruch ist für jeden normalen (nicht hypersensiblen) Menschen kein Problem - es ist eben keine Baumwolle oder Naturfaser und riecht einfach etwas künstlich aber keineswegs aufdringlich. Wer's "sticky" mag/braucht, der muss sich eben damit abfinden. Die Farbe ist etwas schöner und kräftiger wie in der Beschreibung (meine ist purple) und insgesamt hat man ein sehr schones Handgefühl. Obwohl man sie in die Waschmaschine stecken kann, habe ich sie noch nicht gewaschen. Ich weiß auch nicht, ob ich das tun würde oder mir lieber eines der zahlreichen im Internet beschriebenen Reinigungsmittel selbst zusammenbraue. FAZIT: Sehr empfehlenswert, für den Preis Top, 80% Stickyness, Geruch unproblematisch. Namaste.
