Do I need bottles or can it go straight into a glass?

The fermenting bin is the 1st fermentation, but the mix needs to be bottled or syphoned into barrel with small amount of sugar for 2nd fermentation and conditioning. I syphoned my mix in to bottles last night, can't wait to try.

I've pushed the lid on fully, but when I push it down I can hear air escaping. Is this still safe to brew with?
