For the most part, it's really good! I'm not keen on the smell but it smells better than dirty hair. The dry shampoo works well to remove some of the grease from my hair but leaves a greyish tinge to my hair which is an auburn colour. I would try the regular one and just not spray it very close, hold the bottle about 1 foot from your head to avoid excess product being sprayed. As far as changing or fading the color, I don't think it would, it is just powder that you are spraying on. It washes off really easily, so you don't have to worry about excessive scrubbing and risk washing the color off. I would just be sure that you use the proper shampoo to maintain the color, and don't wash it as often since red is very hard to maintain.
