Accusharp Camouflage Knife Sharpener

Very satisfied
This gadget is very safe and easy to use. As said in previous reviews I wouldn't want to use it on really good quality knives as it does have quite a coarse action but for my cheaper knives it has really sharpened them up. Altogether I am very pleased

Cheap, easy and highly effective!
Used a few methods to sharpen my kitchen knives including stones and tungsten cutters (as this device). Never had great results from tungsten cutters and using a stone just took too long and required a lot of set-up and a learning curve. Was almost going to spend around £100 on a abrasive belt hand held device, but after reading reviews, decided to give the AccuSharp a try - was only £12 so not a lot to lose.To my surprise this is the easiest and effective knife sharpener I have ever used. The first knife had a very dull edge so I had to draw the AccuSharp over the blade about 25 times. After this I could easily slice paper (as a trial) and it cut meat like a chef! Now every time I use the knife I give it 2 passes with the AccuSharp to maintain a perfect edge. OK...I know under a microscope it's not going to be perfect because the methos of sharpening is 'shearing action' which is not as good as micro fine abrasive wheels/belts/stones.....but does it matter....it would be difficult to tell the difference in use. Excellent product. Also, you can get double life out of it by swapping the blades round.

Sharp sharo sharp
Very easy to use, product looks cheap compared to other sharpeners I've got, but this is by far the quickest and most effective.

if you cant use a steel to sharpen your knife this is a good alternative
I like it ease of use, dont like how much metal it takes off my knife it seems to make 1 side knife blunt while making the other side sharp which is sharper than most peoples knifes . if you can sharpen knifes properly and do it well avoid using this product but if your average jo or rubbish sharpening skills this is a good go to.

This does a better job than every other gadget... Your blade is dull AF anyway!
This is a great sharpener! I've used a lot of methods and gadgets in my time including oilstones and diamond sharpeners... For all the "gadget" sharpeners this one is a winner. Sure there might be purists out there who need organic artisan zen-sharpening for their ultra expensive blah blah chef knife, but that kind of roody-poo is never satisfied anyway. Dude this will whip your blades into a great shape - the freaking thing is already dull AF anyway, amirite? You have nothing to lose.Tungsten Carbide is one of the hardest materials on earth - and this little gem has a pair of reversible TC sharpening stones, so after you wear them down you can flip them over and start all over - plus they sell spares. I use mine in a handheld position like a traditional sharpening steel and the little handguard works to protect my meathooks without even thinking about it. BOOM.... Slide the blade through the handy notch in this sharpener and in a few strokes you're good to go. You can maintain a great edge super fast and carry on as if you were normal afterwards. This thing even does serrated edges if you take the time. *mic drop*

No more cutting the counter top with this super sharpener!
OK so you hold the knife with the blade up and stroke the sharpener down the blade. If you slip, you don't slice the knife down into anything because the knife is not what's moving. Oh, BTW, it sharpens superbly - you really have to warn others after sharpening a knife with this sharpener. Cherry on top - spare sharpener baldes can be bought for it. Not mucj pressure needed to effect a nice sharp result.

Not for everyone...
This sharpener creates a very sharp edge to your knives very quickly. Evidence of the metal removed can be seen if you wipe the blade with a white kitchen towel after sharpening. Yes it will damage expensive japanese blades, but on most mid to low price blades it will give you a very sharp edge.Don't apply too much pressure to re-sharpen but if your blade is blunt, draw it across with firm pressure and you will feel it removing material and forming a new edge. It works better than other "copies" of this style of sharpener and I am guessing its due to the way the blades are mounted in the handle.Don't think of it as a one tool for every knife, but as a fast sharpener for your less precious blades.
