Wonderful fun, and no scissors needed! Excellent value
We’ve had a great time with these. There are 3 levels of difficulty which was great for the 7yr old, 12yr old and adult who spent hours on them on rainy days in the summer. The 7yr old made the simpler ones, and needed an occasional hand. The back stories for each monster were fun......we read them out to each other when each monster was finished. There are a lot of monsters.......we still have many more to make...... so the book is excellent value The monsters are designed by lots of people meaning the different models are different, and fresh. Sometimes having 2 people helps meaning co-operative monster making, as well as working on your own works well. There are between about 20 and 70 tags on each model, time taken to make each one depend on the glue used. We used a glue stick......the quickest option. When finished the models can be played with - carefully - the construction is strong, but the card is light weight. Nothing negative to say.

Great gift with benefits.
This is sooooo much fun. The level of difficulty varies and can be hard to predict. Some of them are clearly made to drive people to insanity, others appear complicated but are assembled in minutes. The finished monsters are really cool and stylish and hipster and look good on billy bookcases and on Instagram. Here's a clever trick; buy it for someone you live with, become overly eager about their thoughts on it until they are forced to assemble one just to placate you. Repeat as desired.

Brilliant !
I bought this for my 10 and a half year old son and he absolutely loves it! The book is full of really colourful 'monsters' that you press out of the page and glue together, they all have names and a bio! which my son really likes! Although we haven't made anything up yet, my son is very excited and can't wait to get started, I just have to make sure we have some good paper glue! I would definitely recommend this book and I would buy it again and at the price its an absolute bargain, hours of fun ! Its a 'must buy' book for any kids/adults that like to make things with paper and card ! Really pleased I bought it, great for a rainy day too.

Hours of fun
This book is brilliant! I bought it because my 6 year old is always asking me to make him paper models. It's a bit tricky for him, but he really enjoys helping his dad make the monsters. My 8 and 10 years olds also spent hours making the robots themselves. I've not seen them sit and play so nicely together in a long time! Even my 12 year old joined in and made a couple. My biggest tip would be to ditch the glue and just use sellotape to stick them together. It's so much easier and can look fine if you're careful. The monsters are very imaginative and the kids loved the wacky back story you get for each one. My lad could really imagine that his robot was 3 storeys tall and eating up entire city blocks! The monsters range from easy enough for an 8 year old to do, right up to difficult enough to keep an adult busy for half an hour. The end results are great and my kids were even playing with them like toys (although they will last a lot longer on a shelf). I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Crack out the sellotape and have some fun with your kids!

Great fun!
Great fun, for kids and adults. Not too difficult, but challenging enough to be fun. The monster are a bit smaller than what I expected (about 5 to 8 cm in height), hence the 4 stars (instead of 5). Definitely worth buying and building. My daughter and my nephew (10 and 6 years old) built all monsters in two afternoons.

Fantastic selection of monsters to make for varying abilities.
I was doing a birthday party where we invited the whole class of kids. What to do for party bags for both girls and boys which weren't going to cost a fortune ? Well I got this book, printed out the first page of general instructions for every child then split the book up so every kid got a different monster to make. There are 50 to make, so plenty of choice and there are different levels of difficulty clearly marked on each page, and of course we had loads left over to make ourselves. Some are quite intricate so will appeal to older kids and even adults. Great book.

Great fun for the adults and kids
50 paper monsters of varying difficulty to construct. All with fun back-stories, all neat ideas and great-looking end products. Older kids could manage them on their own but they are often quite fiddly so for my girls (3 and 5) it was more about finding ways for us to do them together. They chose the monsters, helped to push the flat pre-scored monsters out of the page and "paint" the PVA glue on the flaps etc. Just a lot of fun really.

Fun for big kids
Love this! It's now been bought twice as presents (for adults!) and it's been really well received. There's a fun range of monsters to make and there's a mixture of difficulties, each clearly stated so you can start with the easy ones before venturing on to the more tricky ones. I can see this making a great gift for anyone into crafts, young or old.
