Amtech S1860 10W Glue Gun

arrived on time - ive not needed to use it yet but have tested it and it heated up quickly and without mess. just what i need for my crafting.We are now into June and i have used this quite a bit since my original post in fact ive used the sticks that came with it. Ive just got a pk of 10 from Tesco for only a couple of quid. Ive used it for making a variety of craft projects including: rings, hair clips, and glueing buttons and hand made flowers on to fabric.Useful addition to my crafting tool box, a nice little glue gun great for small projects. Still heats up quickly and ive not found it to be at all messy, although I do stand it on an old plastic chopping board in case of drips. I would say if you have dexterity issues you might find squeezing the trigger a bit awkward but no more than any other similar item.

Excellent tool

Perfect for home crafts and smaller jobs. Electrical cord isn't very long, but hasn't been a problem for me. Heats up quickly and has an easy application process. The glue sticks it came with were efficient, and held strongly once dry. Amazing for the low price. I used it for making chocolate bouquets, worked well with wooden skewers.

I have a love / hate relationship with Am-Tech. I've loved some of their products and reviled others, but generally I have found them to be priced at a tempting sum that is worth taking a chance.While it's clear to anyone from the price that this is a budget item, the quality seems no less adequate than models that have cost two or three times what I paid. There are some slight aesthetic issues with finishing, but this doesn't affect the use of the gun and, at this price range, is to be expected.This glue gun uses 7mm sticks which are quite easy to find and incredibly cheap - especially if you are prepared to buy in bulk on eBay. This particular model comes with two free sticks, but these will not last long and are probably best used for practice if you've not used a glue gun before. This model has a 90cm cable which ought to be long enough for most projects. If necessary, however, it is possible to unplug it and continue to use it for a minute or so before the nozzle cools down.The glue gun is quite typical of 7mm stick guns. The nozzle allows for fairly generous glue output, but it is probably best used for small jobs such as craft work and minor DIY jobs. If you're looking for something more heavy duty with a faster glue output for working on large jobs such as furniture, I would recommend a model that uses 11mm sticks.As seen from the picture, a small metal stand is included which clips to the front of the gun. You should take care, however, only to rest the glue-gun on a suitable surface as glue will steadily leak out if it is left standing (this can also continue to happen for a few minutes after it is unplugged); this leak issue is not unique to this model and occurs with almost every glue gun I have used, but it's something that new users should be aware of.The tip of the gun is mostly protected by rubber, but the metal tip will get very hot during use. For this reason I wouldn't recommend it to be used by children without careful adult supervision and/or protective gloves.I hope that this has been helpful. If my experience of this product changes at any point in the future, I will return to update my review.

The gun was ok for a cheap glue gun, however the glue parts it comes with don’t melt or go sticky when they come out the other end of the gun but are more like putty and nothing sticks to itHowever I happened to own some of my own glue sticks that fit and they worked fineThe other thing to be aware of is even if you aren’t pushing the handle or anything glue still comes out of it so you have to work quickly or you’ll get glue everywhere and waste your supply (it’s standard for a small amount of glue to come out when it’s not being actively used but this was quite a large amount)

I'm no craft expert but decided I could easily make the wedding invites we had seen at a fraction of the cost but needed a glue gun for attaching a gem. This was cheap, cheerful and did the job! It eats glue sticks but after talking to a craft person, they all do (not used one since school so can't remember). The cable isn't very long but for the price I think it's brill!

Ce pistolet est très pratique pour le bricolage par contre les cartouches d'encre s'usent très rapidement. Il est facile à manier mais il faut surveiller avec les enfants car la colle est très chaude.

Todo perfecto, tanto entrega como el funcionamiento, no obstante, no indica que el cable tiene una salida a enchufe inglés, 3 puntas. Para españa no sirve al no ser que tengas adaptador.

Très bien sauf que je n'avais pas vu que ce n'etait pas une prise francaise..j'ai pris un adaptateur et tout va bien

Attenzione : arriva con presa elettrica inglese.domani proverò a smontarla e mettere una italiana.Speriamo che non esplode. Poi proverò la funzionalità.
