When people give bad reviews, it should be understood, the product may be good but not for them. This dryer has high ratings with marginal negatives for a reason. Its phenomenal! it will beat the high end dryers every time because of the same or better quality but lower price. The dryer came in a sturdy box. It is much lighter and compact than my old Revlon 1875 watt that get smokin hot which I thought was good until I bought this one. Many complained the buttons are placed incorrectly and causes the user to frequently change the temp controls, but I have average size hands, wear medium surgical gloves and 8-9 size ring, yet had no issues. The handles is quite long so most won't have issue. The cord is also extra long compared to drug store dryers like Revlon, Conair etc. This would be great if you have a crowded/shared bathroom and need to sit anywhere to dry. If the outlet is slightly far away. No problem. As far as the temp, lets be clear and realistic we all have different types of hair. Sometimes even on the same head. If you have thick, strong, heat resistant locks, this may not be the dryer for you. I've noticed some of the blowouts on Youtube influencers with thicker hair don't always blow out silky straight opposed to those who have fine, softer or super straght hair that respinds well to heat. The dryer does get very hot. It will burn if left in place too long. Don't beleive the hype of those who are damaging their hair with too high heat and feel if its not burning you and smoking, it must not be good. Those who say the heat is too low to straighten your hair may have course or heat resistant hair. Others simply don't know how to properly blow dry the hair and live under the no pain, no gain rule and have the heat damaged hair to prove it. As far as the ION processing, this was the fastest my hair was ever dried (8 minutes with products. It would have been even faster w/out products to add and hold moisture). It leaves me to wonder if those super hot, make you hair smoke dryers were really ION like they said. My only take away but still left it with 5 stars for my ratimg is the comb attachment. The comb is short, but clumbersome because the teeth are wide and fat. Nonetheless, what I loved about the same comb is that it only has one row of teeth which is rare if not revolutionary. One row of teeth in a blow dry comb is all but unheard of. Yet, causes less tangle and upp issues then the standard two rows that tangle nad pull haor. I find two rows cause more problems then they're worth. If you miss a few tangles two rows mean double the breakage. The Tymo Airhype teeth still straightened the hair but I needed to assist with some tension work. Finer longer teeth would remove all issues with the comb. All and all this is a keeper. I love it!

This hair dryer is unmatched. It definitely cost more than hair dryers I purchased in the past, but it’s worth every penny. It has cut my drying time in half. I love the cooling feature to cool your hair after you’ve put the heat on it. I love that it’s not super loud yet it is still efficient. I love the Velcro on the cord for easy storage. The bag is a plus b/c it allows you to store all of the accessories it comes with and take it anywhere. Omg my hair is so soft and much more manageable. It almost feels as if you used the flatiron that’s how straight the blow dryer gets your hair.

Amazing! Very durable! Fast drying! Very hot heat settings! Recommend!! Won’t be disappointed!

I've wanted one of these smaller hairdryers for a while, and ended up getting this on sale, based on my previous positive experience with the Tymo straightener. I don't have experience with any of the bigger name dryers (Dyson, Shark) to compare to, but compared to my regular ol' Conair it's smaller, quieter, and seems to dry my hair faster. The attachments connect magnetically and I've used both the diffuser for wavy styling and the focused nozzle for straight hair. The digital display is nice but my one complaint is that all the settings reset themselves - every time you turn it on, it's at the highest temperature and fan speed, so if you use anything other than that you need to adjust it after turning on, and you can't just change a switch by feel, you have to hold the dryer out and push a button and watch the display change. It's also easy to accidentally hit the small buttons on the handle while using it, depending on how you are gripping it. I guess this is just the price we pay for technology though! Overall I'm happy with it and would recommend for anyone looking for one of these smaller hair dryers without breaking the bank.

First use today. Loving it. Hoping that it will stand the test of time, like me previous other hair driers. This one has a higher price tag, so I’m hoping it will deliver on longevity. It’s not super loud. Doesn’t feel as hot as my previous hair drier. But it sure worked quickly and efficiently. So far, so good. No complaints! The magnetic nozzle stayed on with first use. I did not have an issue with my hand accidentally changing the temperature. I can see myself really loving this hair drier. Will be registering it immediately to make sure I am covered under the warranty.

I got this for my wife. She leiks it. It has good air stream and very light and easy to cintrol. She liked the digital part and so satosfied.

Im so upset as I was overly excited about this dryer. I have 3 TYMO products that I absolutely love. My daughter loves them too so I decided to buy her the dryer for her birthday! In the past I purchased directly from the site and had no problems. I was looking forward to purchasing the air hype for her as a gift once on sale, but unfortunately I missed the may 5th discount window. This had me scrambled doing research on discounts to try and lower the original $200 price on TYMO.com. I came across the dryer being sold on Amazon at a price that could not be beat, as well as a 1 day delivery! I wished I had just went directly back to TYMO. I received the dryer in a used condition. There was no protective wrapping around the dryer itself and none on the digital display. There is a oil substance on the defuser and the cord looked man handled in the back of the box. There’s some chalky stuff that was on the cord, it easily wiped off, but still was gross. When you purchase something that is supposed to be new, that’s what you expect and anything else is unacceptable. I immediately called amazon to complain and ask for a replacement, I was told that it was not an option to doing so. The resolution was to do the return and once received, a refund would be issued and then I could repurchase . Me being frustrated with time frame, the rep then offered to do a amzon gift card for the amount so I could purchase right away as this option would by pass the 7-10 business day wait for the original payment method (my credit card). I was happy as again I never wanted a refund just an unused dryer. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. I received an email saying that no refund will be processed but I can return the additional item sent to me as a mistake?! After talking to 2 more representative there is still no refund on my account in either form, credit card or amazon gift card. Im literally talking in circles having to explain what and why this is going on. I wish I would have just paid the extra 60 bucks and went to the source. This is a huge headache and to make it worst its coded like I received an extra item which is not true. Take my advice, Purchase from TYMO directly to save yourself this headache. I still have no resolve and I honestly don’t want to have to get back on the phone to have them tell me the same thing. I am now out the $160, have a used dryer that Im supposed to return because according to them, an extra item was sent. I dont know what else to say but you get what you pay for and Ill never buy these types of products from here again.
