Very good quality for the price. The size is small but not inaccurate to the description, centimeters are just not a relatable measurement. The seller does up the saturation in the photos though. What I got definitely still had a some beautiful fire to it and through all the little stones in the package, I got a nice range of colors too. Pic included in this review is under normal warm kitchen lighting before I washed them.

Low quality. One rock was thin, too thin to tumble. And another was only about 15% opal, the rest was the ugly outer rock. They were much smaller than I expected. I recommend the seller add an image to show the scale properly to reduce the misunderstandings and bad reviews based solely on size. I am returning them, and reordering in hopes of getting better quality. If theyre up to par I will update my review, if not you can assume theyre just as bad. These are cheap rock samples, so my expectations were modest: maybe some rocks with tiny streaks of pretty but totally unusable opal. My daughter is a rockhound and just wanted any bit of opal for her collection. What I received, however, was clearly five chunks of irregular, whitish, opalescent glass, the sort of thing you'd buy to fill vases for a flower arrangement. Disappointing. The two stars are because they are pretty, and my daughter still likes them.

Beautiful opals. They all have fire and are stunning. They are small, which is what I was expecting. You can see the size relative to my fingers under the box

TINY stones and NO COLOR. They are advertised as 10-15mm each, but instead, they were 3-6mm each and had no "fire" any colors other than white/light gray. They basically look like gravel, only smaller.

Smaller chunks the pictures and there’s a LOT of dirt on the pieces so by the time you clean the dirt off the pieces are even smaller, so keep that in mind and keep expectations low, because you won’t get a lot of them in this set, they are pretty small dirt encrusted pieces, too bad they were so small, I was looking forward to inlaying the pieces into a knife handle

This was a surprisingly beautiful variety of genuine opals for $7. That violet-blue and amber colored one with all the fractures is just stunning. Are all of them gem worthy? Nope, but it was under ten dollars, so I wasn't really going in with super high expectations. I can absolutely cut a couple of these (or just leave them raw and natural) and set them to make beautiful jewelry, which was what I was hoping for. Even the white one with zero fire would look nice facetted. This is a great deal for anyone getting into opal cutting who doesn't want to risk hundreds to thousands of dollars as they learn to cut opal. Absolutely recommend.

Disappointing. Looks nothing like the image. Very small pieces and almost no color in the package I was sent.
