I’m sure I’m not the first person in lockdown to miss the fabulous services of a really great nail salon. I’ve been going to mine for nearly 14yrs. I’ve always thought about trying an LED lamp for my toes. I can apply my own non gel polish well on my toes and go less often to the salon for this but prefer their gel polish as it lasts longer. However due to the current circumstances I decided now was the time to give it a go. The Nailstar Professional Lamp arrived very fast and exactly as described, it’s very easy to use and my toes painted with a gel polish first time round have been perfect for nearly 3 weeks now. My finger nails are trial and error but purely down to my skill set not the lamp. I bought sculpting gel which I prefer on them as my own nails are very weak. It’s a really tricky and technical medium to use but the lamp cures it exceptionally well any imperfections are down to my lack of experience but I’m still really impressed with what you can achieve at home. I would absolutely recommend this product even if I just end up using it for my toe nails it’s still saving me money.

A great lamp for an excellent price. Lightweight with a 'clean' look, timer buttons are in the perfect place, lightweight - an excellent buy for a mobile nail technician. I researched the market and found this to be the best quality for the price. Used the lamp all day yesterday on clients then on myself, excellent and fast results. Treatments carried out swiftly enabling me to reduce my service times and ultimately allowing me to carry out more treatments in a day, this lamp will quickly pay for itself. I would fully recommend.

I love this lamp, just done my nails and am very happy! It's quite small so easy to pack away, it cured my DND gel polish no problem along with my builder gel. Great price aswell, very happy with it and hopefully it lasts but so far so good!

I’ve had this lamp since 2021 and it’s still going strong. It cures gel polish really quickly, and I love the built-in timers—especially the 30-second setting for quick layers. That said, sometimes the sides of my nails don’t cure fully, especially my thumbs. I usually pop my thumbs in on their own to make sure they’re right under the lights, and that does the trick. The 30-second button has started to stick a bit and I sometimes have to press it a couple of times to get it to turn on. Not a huge deal—it’s been a few years and I’ve definitely not been the most careful with it, so it could be from getting a bit dirty. I even showed it in a video I posted. Also, just a heads-up: I tried to clean some gel mess off the top with acetone before recording the video, and the acetone actually took some of the black paint off the lamp. So definitely don’t use acetone on the surface—lesson learned! It’s a little tight to fit my foot in for pedicures, but because the lamp is small and lightweight, it fits easily in my nail kit, which I really like. As a beginner, it’s been a reliable lamp and I’d happily repurchase it when this one gives out.

I’ve been doing my own nails since about 2011. I had a CND UV lamp before but when it failed I didn’t want to spend so much again. I first ordered one of these lamps from Amazon in 2018 and it lasted 6 years to 2024, with regular use and being lobbed around the house. I noticed it flickering slightly on last use, and for the first time ever my gel nails lifted completely off in one piece a week later. Meticulous nail prep before any manicure is the key thing when preventing lifting and giving a long-lasting gel nail. If you haven’t changed anything and you never normally have a problem, next look at your lamp and check its performance. I decided to repurchase the same one since it was still available and I’d never had an issue until then. My second one works perfectly and I’m very happy again. I’ve used this lamp with both cnd shellac and more recently TGB/ BIABs without issue. Each of my BIAB manis lasts 4-6 weeks.

Probably me but it doesn’t seem to cure my builder gel , takes a long time

Very good lamp for a good price. This is the second LED lamp I have owned. My first one lasted 4 years but stopped working recently, so I needed to buy a new one. I wanted a good lamp but I only do my own nails so I didn’t want to spend a fortune on one. I picked this lamp based on reading other reviews. When I got the lamp, the first thing I notice was how compact and light it felt. I was slightly concerned by this as I thought it may not be that durable. I did my nails the first time using 60s to cure each coat, they looked good but did not last all that long 3-4 days before chipping and peeling. The second time, I used 90s for curing each layer and they have lasted so much longer, one week in and no chips. I am very happy with the lamp over all and would definitely recommend it

I was completely new to gel polish after having it done at the salon and converting straight away when I saw how long they last.I quickly decided to invest in my own kit and after researching for a while and reading the reviews I decided to give this lamp a go. I've been using it for 2 months now and it's fantastic. I use it with Bluesy gel polish and my nails last for at least 2 weeks (unless i get bored and change the colour sooner). I do find that it works better if i do my thumbs separately as when I do a whole hand at once the side of the thumb doesn't cure properly and the polish starts to lift. However for the ease and convenience of doing my nails at home, plus the money i'm saving by not going to the salon, I think this is a small price to pay. The timer function is great and the lamp is so portable you can pretty much do your nails anywhere. I would definitely recommend this lamp.
