I genuinely love this watch and it is better looking and obviously ...
I genuinely love this watch and it is better looking and obviously far more accurate than my old Rolex. Quite honestly, I never wear my old Rolex now because you get used to the watch ALWAYS being the correct time, ALWAYS the correct date, NEVER running our of batteries (even in our miserable winter indoor climate in UK), Waterproof, and with practically indestructible glass (2 years constant wearing and not a scratch). As as package it is very hard to beat, particularly as it looks so good, is inexpensive for what it is, and unlike my Rolex I feel I can wear it everywhere; whihc is exactly what I do.However, and despite my 5 star rating, nothing is ever perfect and there are a couple of small flaws I should draw people's attention to. Now that I am the wrong side of 45 years, I am starting to find the dials quite small to read - not the end of the world I know, but I end up faffing with my glasses just to read the three small dials. The functionality is similar to my previous everyday watch, which was a Tissot Touch, but this one is more cumbersome to use and less intuitive than the Tissot (although far more reliable, which I why I gave up with the Tissot). For example, although it has a perfectly good alarm and chronograph, I never use it as I use it so infrequently I can never remember (that never happened with the Tissot). Finally, the third dial is a twenty four hour clock with 24 tiny segments. Not only is this entirely superfluous as you have the main clock hands to tell you the time, but as previously mentioned, due to the size of the dial I haven't got a hope of ever reading that dial! The only other minor flaw is that it is clearly done for the USA market due to the preset time zones, although rather usefully it does have "Lon" for the UK. It means that when in mainland Europe or in the Middle East it has a further setting where you can advance of decrease the radio controlled time by any number of hours. In fairness that works well, and it's handy to be able to adjust the time by these increments rather than having to physically change time as you do on most other watches (that particular part is intuitive).Despite those minor flaws, I love the watch, it wholeheartedly deserves its 5 star rating and primarily due to its good looks, reliability, accuracy and robustness, I would go so far as to say that it is probably the best watch I have ever owned. It is also far cheaper than the Rolex, or indeed the Tissot Touch which tells you something about the weird pricing of watches. I'm sure that Citizen know their customers, but I would have expected a watch this good to sell for at least double the price it generally sells for. It is a genuine bargain, and I can't imagine anyone buying one and being disappointed.

Excellent watch
I had some criteria when I started looking. Radio controlled, sapphire glass, perpetual calendar, chronograph, reasonable water resistance, no regular battery replacement and cost under £400. That narrowed the field very considerably, and this watch was one of the few that ticked all the boxes. I've had it for a week now, and am very pleased with it. It feels like a quality timepiece. It's quite large but doesn't look odd on a smaller wrist like mine. The buttons have a good feel to them. The watch is heavy, but in a good way that suggests decent build quality. I've had a fiddle with all the radio control, stopwatch and alarm modes, and although I had to read the fine manual, it was all pretty easy to use. The alarm is on the quiet side, but I gather that most if not all watches like this have a similar problem. I think it would wake me up if it was beside me on a bedside table. For anyone outside the marked time zones there's "alternate time", which is not radio controlled. It comes in this version with the black leather strap, and also a metal bracelet. I went for the leather strap, which was £80 cheaper. The leather is quite thick and looks well made. It very soon bent in the right places to fit round my wrist and is very comfortable. I did a lot of research and failed to find anything that came close to this watch, even when looking at ones much more expensive.

Excellent watch at a reasonable price. Never needs setting or batteries.
I just love this watch. I already own a Citizen Skyhawk watch which I have had for about 15 years. It still works perfectly and I have never had to change the battery or set it. The reason I bought this one is because the Skyhawk is beginning to show its age.For the price I think this watch is a bit of a bargain and again it will never need setting or a new battery. The added bonus is the sapphire crystal glass. It has loads of different functions which are relatively easy to set. Mine came already set to local time and once I removed it from the box it burst into life. I did begin to worry that the power meter was showing quite low even after leaving it in daylight to build up a charge. To be honest it took a couple of days on a window sill to reach full charge. Since then it hasn't dropped below full. I also had to carry out a calibration on the hands as they weren't quite right. I am quite fussy though. If I had one criticism though it would be the strap. Don't get me wrong it's a lovely good quality leather strap but not very generous in the length. If you have large wrists like me it will probably just fit. Normally I would just put a longer strap on but as I said before it's a nice good quality strap. The watch looks smart and I wear mine as an everyday watch but it looks good dressy or casual.

Looks like they sold me a return!
The watch was faulty, I own other Citizen at400 watches so it’s not that I don’t know how to work it. It had no protective coverings and had obviously been opened before. The Citizen box that it came in was not the same as my others. There’s something very strange about this, the ones I bought from other shops worked fine. This watch didn’t look or work like it was brand new! I’ve sent it back and got the refund very quickly. I’ll buy this watch from somewhere else as they are great watches, when new and working!
