Very useful if you're in a tight spot
My car didn't have mudflaps, and I wanted to fit some. For some reason, to fit front mudflaps on my car, you have to drill a hole in the plastic wheel liner. I asked my dealer how much fitting would cost, and they wanted £35, for what is a very simple job. A little put out by this, I looked on Amazon and found this appealing right-angled drill attachment is under £25. So I figured I'd do the job myself and save myself over £10.The tool itself is very compact, more compact than I expected to be honest, and the tool takes up no more room than is absolutely necessary. So squeezing into the gap between my wheel and the wheel arch to drill the hole wasn't a problem, and I got the job done quickly. Not only did I save myself £10, I now have a very useful right-angled drill attachment.Build quality of the tool is excellent, and the internal gearing is silky smooth without play. I was actually surprised to discover the tool was so cheap, but the build quality seems to match the price well. It's not a hefty drill attachment, it's a nicely made attachment for light use .It came with some short screwdriver bits, which were tricky to remove from the tool as they are so short, but as this tool is all about squeezing into tight spaces, I can't complain. I used it in conjunction with a small drill chuck I already owned (not included in set) and it worked perfectly. (I was just glad I could fit a 6.5mm drill bit into my little chuck.)I used this tool to drill a 6.5mm hole through plastic, which is hardly the toughest job a drill attachment could face. It worked perfectly, and I suspect I could use this attachment for years drilling holes through wheel arch liners, or for fixing screws with an electric screwdriver. However if I used this attachment to try and drive a masonry drill into concrete, I don't think it would drill many holes, but then it's not supposed to be doing that sort of thing. As a useful accessory for an electric screwdriver, or for light drilling, this is really very handy.Highly recommended!

Great tool for going around corners - literally
If you've ever struggled to tighten a screw in a cramped space, you'll understand the frustration. I recently encountered this issue when trying to undo some guttering on my house. Thankfully, I discovered a game-changing solution: a right angle drill bit. This ingenious tool allows you to work in even the tightest spaces by reducing the height of the working tool. Although retrieving the bit from the front can be a bit tricky due to its magnetic stability, Dewalt has cleverly included a hole on the back of the case for easy removal with a nail. The build quality of this tool is exceptional, with a solid construction and a set of eight different bits securely held in the case. While you may not use it for every project, having it in your toolkit is invaluable when the need arises. DIY enthusiasts will definitely appreciate the convenience and versatility it offers.

Be prepared for failure
The good - this didn't break and was usable for the intended job. I think it is better than all the alternatives I looked at.The bad is that these right angle drives (all of them) are difficult to use. You need to apply a lot of force in the direction you're screwing to stop the bit coming out of the screw and you need to resist the torque of the drill which also twists the bit out of the screw. It needs a thread in the head so you can attach a handle like you can with a drill or angle grinder.

If you don’t have one, get one
Not a tool I use every day but when I do use it I’m grateful I bought it. Very durable and it has lasted me a few years at least. A must have for any carpenters out there for when you find a screw in a tight squeeze. Makes hiding screws so much easier.

DeWalt 90 degree drill impact driver attachment. Very good!
I have a number of DeWalt 18v XR power tools and when I saw a review of this 90 degree attachment I wanted to give it a go. Ordered from Amazon prime, delivered next day free of charge, spot on. The tool is well made and is simple to fit to the hex drive in my DCF887 impact driver. It works brilliantly for both drills and screwdriver bits, either fitted direct in the chuck or using an extension adaptor. Ideal for kitchen fitting, working in awkward spaces in the loft, fixing rafters etc. It looks well made and fit for purpose and the Dewalt warranty is such that if it breaks they give you another one, what more could one ask.

Great bit of kit. Works very well with the impact driver. Well worth having.

Totally rubbish chuck design. Devalt, go back to drawing board or Cad software.
Are we sure that there are not 2 different version of this tool? Some of the pictures show sort of black "chin" under silver top of the drill. My drill has not got that.Description says "stainless steel"?Well, the one I received today looks like some sort of, fairly rough, casted aluminium? The chuck is terribly designed in comparison to other drills or impact drivers. Why do we need to use some sort of screwdriver or other small sharp implement to release the driver bit?I can see that it makes tool head slightly less wide, but why?My Makita and DEVALT drills are wider at chuck neck, so what do we gain by making this maybe 5mm less wide?At the expense of making driver bit replacement total pain for short 25mm bits (included with the tool). If i have to use 50mm driver bits or extension bar to make driver bit changes easier why some idiot designer tried to save 5mm?Positives:a) tool is really small, so would work well in confined spaces (although, again I struggle to invisage situation where such stupidly designed chuck might be required in electric tool).b) it feels sturdily built in comparison to cheaper and bulkier right angle drills, i used in the past.Overall, i am amazed at all very positive reviews. All these tool users who think that convenience is irrelevant to tool design?Well, i need a stiff drink.
