Hi will this fit the... black+decker 18 v cordless 2-gear combi hammer drill power?

I have this battery for my B&D cordless, two speed hammer drill, as in the video, model number KFBCD701. It also fits my B&D strimmer and chainsaw.

how do i know if it is the battery or charger as battery wont hold charge

If you get a steady green light when you plug in the charger the battery is fully charged. If it flashes green the battery is being charged but if however if it turns to a slow flashing red the battery is severely depleted. A rapidly flashing red means the battery has a fault -usually one of the cells in it has been cracked or damaged. The only way to check if the charger is at fault is to swap batteries. The batteries trickle charge once they have been fully charged but you need to charge it up fully -usually 24 hours- before you start to use it. The batteries are sealed and so cannot be repaired or replaced. I have several batteries and two chargers so always have some batteries on trickle charge. Black & Decker don't seem to sell the chargers on there own so had to purchase a second piece of B & D equipment in order to get the 2 nd charger.
