A few weeks ago now we signed a tenancy on a new house and gave our final months notice to our current letting agency. Unfortunately, neither my partner or I are very organised and we have both pretty much left everything to the last possible minute. With the end date of our current tenancy looming in just a week we thought we had better finally get a move on. My partner was in charge of booking a removal firm whilst I was in charge of boxing everything up. With this in mind, I needed….well lots of boxes. With the van booked and deposit already paid I needed to source some boxes quickly. I visited Amazon and they had just what I wanted, a pack of 15 boxes for moving house which had fairly good reviews.The next day at 9:30am my parcel arrived by courier (with Amazon Prime) thankfully whilst I was in and I was able to sign for the delivery and getting started with the packing. The boxes came packaged in a large plastic postal van, which was completely sealed around the edges. I mention this as a number of other reviewers on Amazon complained about the packaging in which the boxes were delivered to them, with one reviewer complaining that they hadn’t been in to collect the packet and so the delivery driver had just left it outside in the rain where obviously the cardboard had gotten wet and therefore became unusable.Inside the plastic packaging were all 15 boxes, flat packed and attached together with a plastic strip. I cut the strip to release the boxes and began putting them together. I found this incredibly quick and easy to do, by simply overlapping the four flaps on either side. I secured the bottom of each box with strong tape, using extra tape on the boxes that were going to carry heavier and more valuable items such as books and games consoles.The boxes measure 457x305x305mm*, I found them to be of a perfect size. They were not so small that they couldn’t carry enough and not too large were they became difficult or cumbersome to lift. I was able to get an awful lot packed away in these boxes.I filled my car with the boxes and drove them to the new house. Non of the boxes ripped or became damage during this move, their bottoms also remained sturdy. They were excellent for moving all the items I packed into them. I emptied the contents of the boxes into the new house and took the empty boxes back home to reuse on another load. I had no problems with the boxes, I feel confident that I will be able to reuse them a few more times.These cardboard boxes are of an excellent quality and fit for purpose. The boxes have plenty of room inside and are reusable. Obviously its best to avoid overfilling them because they are still just made out of cardboard, I would suggest taping up the bottoms with strong tape for extra support.I would certainly recommend them to those moving home, especially if you are struggling to get hold of any free ones from the supermarkets. They are quite expensive for just some boxes but I found them to be very helpful.*other sizes are available

Have to write a review since I disagree with some of the other reviews I've seen here. I was initially unsure about whether to buy these, since some of the reviews showed the item arriving with 14 boxes instead of 15, or where they had been wrapped too tightly such that the outer boxes were damaged, or they had been damaged by rain. My experience was nothing like this.The item arrived on time (I actually think they arrived early). There were 15 boxes, as described. The seller had clearly taken aboard the feedback they had received from other customers and my delivery had been carefully wrapped to prevent any damage from the straps being too tight. The package was also wrapped in a waterproof material to ensure they arrived safely, so I'm confident that (if this method of packaging continues) other buyers will receive their delivery as expected.The size is quite reasonable. I wrapped a PS4 console in bubble wrap and it fits snugly inside (the width of the PS4 wrapped in bubble wrap is just right for the width of the box, and the length of the PS4 takes up about two-thirds of the length of the box). I actually put my Nintendo Wii and all games and accessories into a single box, too (i.e. Wii, 4 controllers, 2 nunchucks, rubber controller covers with motion plus, 2 Gamecube controllers, about 30 games, a Wii balance board, various additional controller accessories, all plugs and cables, charging docks for controllers, etc) with space left over. You could probably fit clothes from a drawer in an average chest of drawers into one of these boxes.Overall it seemed to be good value and the boxes feel strong and sturdy while carrying them when full.

Boxes are reasonably in size, easy to carry by anyone, even children (provided there's nothing heavy inside) and sturdy enough. If handled carefully they can be reused multiple times with no problem whatsoever. I still have all of them stacked somewhere, just make sure if you use good tape to cut it and not remove it as this also removes part of the material and they might make them useless. I used cheap, less sticky tape, so I could remove it later on without an issue.If you pay attention and don't add sharp objects without protection (I used clothes to wrap the heavy stuff I was carrying) you can easily transport heavy items, like audio equipment and the like and the boxes will be intact upon arrival.I had no issue with missing or damaged boxes at delivery, though they are not wrapped properly to avoid humidity or accidental damage in transit, so be aware of that.All and all, quite good for moving, provided you don't have a lot of stuff as they get filled quite fast. Ideal for single individuals with not a lot of big stuff, you can easily fit a room and some kitchen objects with no issues whatsoever. I have a bunch of audio, computing and photography gear and still had one or two boxes to spare.Cheap, but does the job. Highly recommended.
