I started doing this a while ago but I picked it up again recently and I'm pleased to say I'm doing quite well going through the different tricks. It's worth spending some time getting used to the basics such as where your poi are when they are spinning as this will mean less body hitting later on. That was where I went wrong first time around!

Oh yeah. The bible. Get one. Easy to follow. If only the spinning was as quick to pick up....! Practise practise practise... Oh bum. Its raining. Back to breaking the house again then I guess.Definitely get one of these if you are a beginner and dont know a proficient poi-er to help you. BIG help.Happy poi-ing!

This book was recommended to me by two experienced poi spinners who told me this book is a "must have" for anyone wanting to learn to spin poi. Moves are explained well alongside illustrations. There are tips to help the learner master new moves and lots of practical helps.

Good attempt to cover a complicated subject in diagram form with very nice illustrations. I like the way it seperates tricks by difficulty although I might argue that if you are trying to move to poi from another flow art (I am a hooper for example) that your perception of difficulty will be altered from their judgement based on tricks you have previously learnt. I don't have any friends who spin poi so this has really helped me with a surprise gift that I had no idea how to use. Separate section on fire looks interesting but have not tried it yet. The only reason it doesn't have 5 stars is because it would be much better spiral bound - the book in its current format won't stay open flat for you to refer to while spinning unless you weight down the pages. Reading it through a few times before attempting then referring back to the troubleshooting tips seems to work though.

Needed this book to help develop my poi skills as well as improve and remind me of already known moves. it didn't disappoint! Very clearly written and a decent price. Only book I could find on poi moves, but it's probably the only one you need!

Purchased with Poi so that my daughter could learn more ways to use them.They were first used in her dance show and she loved them . The guide is really easy to follow and ideal for what we wanted.

Good book with both written descriptions on how to do a move and diagrams. It's clear and easy to follow. Very good for beginners.

Livre en anglais. Ce produit est arrivé rapidement et répertorie beaucoup de techniques avec des dessins claires que même sans connaître l'anglais on ne peine pas à deviner. Je le recommande.

Ich habe im Internet viel darüber gelesen, dass man POI spielen nicht aus Büchern lernen kann.Sicher bin ich noch kein Meister, aber mein Sohn und ich haben wahnsinnig viel Spaß dabei, die verschiedenen Figuren auszuprobieren und mit den Pois zu spielen. Von der Auswahl der Pois, über einfache Figuren bis hin zu komplexen Show-Stücken ist das Buch umfangreich, leicht verständlich und nett geschrieben.Ich find es toll ... das Poi spielen und das Ausprobieren der tollen Anleitungen.
