OXFORD BOSS ALARM DISC Ultra Strong Disc Lock, 14mm, Yellow

We now have one of these locks for each of our bikes. They are very good. This was the lowest cost I have seen and £20 less than the high street. It arrived next day. Perfect.

A great product easy to use and is a good deterrent protector. The alarm is not that loud but is shrill and quickly irritating which is good. It is sensitive and any messing with the bike sets it off . Also no need for unsightly yellow cables to remind you you have a disk lock on the alarm does that job too. the size also meanes you can add another chain or bar to secure your bike to something else. I have also used it on my pushbike in Cambridge.. A great product if the plastic felt a little more robust that could only add to the appeal.. well worth the money.

You like them big, this is big You like them hard, this is hard You like them tough, this is tough You like the alarm loud....oooops. The setting bleep is at least twice as loud as the alarm. I could barely hear it sounding from 10 feet away, and I KNEW it was sounding and was listening for it. When it was set off and I was indoors, I couldn't hear it at all. And the bike is 4 feet from the door On testing with a friend, we could hear the setting bleep 30 plus feet away with ease, yet both struggled to hear the alarm at half the distance. The lock is big, hard and heavy. It goes with my HD Max 2m chain and I'm happy with the security it gives, just wish the alarm was loud. It's easy to fit, though could be a struggle on small discs as it's a thick shackle that's around 6 inch long , 3 inch wide and 1/2 thick. Very easy to use.

I like this style of lock. My previous disc lock was with the 6mm pin between the two bits of metal. I love that this is 14mm. I think the gap in my disc is 15 or 16mm so the rubber protection has damaged on one side (I always use the same edge through the dic). The fact that you can just turn the lock around and it is either with an alarm or without is brilliant as I use it without when parked at the office, but when on site I always use it with the alarm. I purchased with the monster pad lock and chain and when I do leave it outside over night I sleep very well knowing it is protected properly.

Update I had a croc lock but fitted hand guards witch ment I couldn't use it anymore. This locked fitted a treat around the brake lever and is nicer to unlock than a croc lock. Added a star. Can a lock be to big, maybe it can and this is it. It's a propper lump witch is good and bad. The alarm side of things is a bit of a pain and not very loud. It's handy it's not to loud as you can set it off easy wile locking and unlocking, or removing the cover ect.

The lock looks sturdy but the alarm is very quiet and you can cover up most of the noise by simply putting your thumb over the speaker. The alarm seems to come on a bit easily with just a minor touch and other times needs a good shake. Overall a good lock but the alarm seems like a bit of a novelty.

This is a very obvious deterrent and the audible alarm hopefully 1. deters thieves and 2. stops the self inflicted error of riding off with the disk blocked by a lock. Now I've seen a video where a YouTube picker opens one of these without triggering the alarm, well good luck in real life as with the key and acting really quick I can get it open before the alarm triggers maybe 1/3 of the time.

The lock is a fantastic bit of kit. The alarm is loud but could be louder, has stopped the local kids from playing with my motorcycle when it is parked outside my house. The luminous yellow makes it very well seen and hopefully makes it a good deterrent. However, I wouldn't use this disc lock without using a decent chain as the motorcycle can just be lifted into the back of van.

The lock is large very visible and the construction is solid. Directions are straight forward making this an easy piece of gear to use. This unit can also be used with a chain as well. Pricey but i feel confidant that it helps protect my motorcycle from theft. MikeD Peace

The locks I received (2) look very different from the one on the Amazon store-front. It's probably just an older batch picture on the site. But it works well enough and seems ok. Hopefully it's not a knock-off of the original. (Shame on Amazon if it is a rip-off version) Most notably though, it does NOT come with a carrying case or a reminder chord. It's ONLY the padlock with 3 keys and some batteries already fitted. It's also a pretty hefty lock. Much bigger than expected, but more in line with the old style D-locks from 20 years ago. And they were pretty reliable. The alarm works after a small delay and constant tampering, but it's not as loud as I was expecting and sometimes doesn't go off if the tampering is intermittent. But for the price, it's definitely a deterrent. Average quality, missing some items, functional, worth the cheap price. Let's hope it lasts!

Very sturdy quality lock. I bought this lock because it was approved by the insurance companies in Sweden where I live. I use it for my electric Fatglider (electric bicycle/motorcycle) and attach it to my disc brake in the back wheel. My wheels are quite small so there very limited space left to attach the lock, but it fits the disc brake if I adjust the wheel position a little bit. You can also use it with a heavy chain. You can choose to lock using the alam feature or lock without the alarm is armed. Easy to use. Delivery was very quick. I can recommend this.

There should be a handlebar safety wire but there is not. Alarm is sensitive to movement which is good. I don't have an issue disarming it like others have mentioned.
