How many risottos will this make? I am worried I will open it and never use by use by date and most gets thrown out...
once opened how long before it has to be used?
When does the product expires?
Hi. Im thinking of watering this product down - Is it possible to boil this ink in water and then bottle it?

Great taste, very flavoursome ink and convenient use jar! Forget small sachets and get this jar!
Great flavour ink! I have bought squid ink before in 4g sachets but this jar just has so much more taste and aroma. When I make my squid ink risotto or arroz negro, I like to use quite a lot of ink to make it really 'black' and flavoursome, so using small sachets can be quite fiddly and there's quite a bit of wastage and inevitably I get my hands dirty. This is a very convenient jar and an excellent quality ink.I also made some fresh pasta with it that turned out great, using about 2/3 of teaspoon per 100g of '00' flour and one egg.The only thing I would say, have a look at your local deli or if you have a spanish supermarket near you, as I later found this product for £3.99 in a spanish supermarket near me.

Great buy - Lovely taste
Luxury product. Great taste not too salty and authentically black.I would really recommend this product over the sachets which you can get as they never deliver that jet black colour and understated shellfish taste you are looking for.

Black Witches Halloween Pasta
It works on soft egg pasta. Quite pricey, but a one-off purchase.

Great product
A lot more than I needed but has lasted a while. I used it to make squid ink pasta. The odour is intense before cooking but dies down after the pasta has boiled. The visual result is great, only used about a teaspoon to make the dough pitch black.Update: I have kept it in the fridge for 3 months and it's still good to use. Tested in pasta. Perfect still.

Yum!
I'd previously bought the wee sachets of this, but they were faffy, and I didn't like the plastic waste. I was reluctant to buy suck a large quantity as I wouldn't be able to get through it before it went off, and it's not cheap. So I emptied the contents into a jug, watered it down and froze it in ice cube trays then put them in a bag in the freezer. I was still a bit dubious, but it worked brilliantly - I made 24 cubes in all, and used 2 for a 2-person risotto. It adds a really subtle fishy flavour to my lemon and tarragon risotto. I'll definitely buy it again once I've worked my way through this lot.

Good quality
This is pure squid ink. It is much cheaper and better than buying the squid ink sauce. One tea spoon of ink is enough for 2 portion of risotto. Good quality. I am pleased with the product.
