Great tasting coffee

I've tried all the main brand De Caff pods. Most of which taste weak or indeed like dishwater (George Clooney brand) Lavazza De Caff looks like coffee, tastes like coffee with a real coffee flavour and is by far the best de caff pod coffee I have had. Obviously these pods only work in Lavazza machines, so If you too are unimpressed with your current de caff pods, find a store that will let you try a Lavazza de caff (like John Lewis) and see for yourself. You might then want to convert from your existing machine

Lavazza coffee really suits my taste and the decaffeinated version is a very close approximation to fully caffeinated coffee. I can’t have caffeine because of my blood pressure but I can still enjoy my coffee.

I have always used Lavazza ground coffee in a cafetiere however, I was recently in a position to treat myself to a little Lavazza Jolie coffee machine. It is perfectly sized for the worktop, and for one person. I have been spoilt these past few months, using this machine, with these decaffeinated coffee capsules.....the coffee is gorgeous! Have never experienced the crema on a home made coffee before! I like strong coffee however, so need 2 capsules per mug. I drink two mugs of coffee per day, so this has worked out hugely expensive (hence, 4 stars instead of 5). I decided enough was enough, and that I couldn't continue paying for 4 capsules per day. Today i came to the end of my supply of capsules, and went back to my cafetiere, but was shocked at how much I disliked the coffee! It was the same Lavazza decaffeinated, but the whole experience was different! It seemed watery and lacklustre compared to the coffee made in the machine. Beware! Once you've tried these capsules, you'll never want to go back to coffee made in a pot! PS. I try to be as eco-friendly as I can, and these capsules are also making me feel guilty, as they are not recyclable, as far as I know. UPDATE: I have found a way to continue to be able to afford these pods. I only make just over half a mug, so only use one pod per coffee. Also, I buy them in bulk (5 boxes at a time) when they have reduced in price via Amazon. The main supermarkets do the same type of reductions too, but it doesn't happen very often.

I recently bought a Lavazza Fantasia A modo mio coffee machines which is great machine, easy to use. So now I'm only buying these capsules and no way will I use fakes. Lavazza coffee is really good. I have a couple of intensities at home but on decaf while I'm breastfeeding. The taste of these decafs is really good, I enjoy my coffee like I would a regular caffeinated coffee. These are hard to find in shops, usually in Lakeland who sell a box for £4.40. Sometimes I pay this in Amazon or less which I'm happy with.

I bought these for my wife so she could have a cup of coffee in the evening without being concerned about caffeine keeping her awake at bedtime. They go with the AEG Lavazza A Modo Mio coffee machine and produce a consistently good cup of coffee. Although nominally this is an espresso pod, with the AEG you can add as much water as you wish and since my wife doesn't like her coffee strong she usually makes it as a longish drink. It still has a good flavour even so. Recommended for all those (with the appropriate machine) who like a decent cup of coffee in the evening but are wary of the effects of caffeine.

Have been using Lavazza now for many years, albeit the Crema Gusto pods. Had to get these for my friend who can only drink Decaf. Well, I was gobsmacked with these pods. Not only did I enjoy the delicious smell whilst waiting for the coffee, but the taste was absolutely GREAT. I will now stay on these pods. I had a heart problem 2 years ago & was advised to drink coffee - sparingly. BUT - these Decaf pods have changed all that & I now enjoy coffee anytime. So, why not try them, you'll really enjoy it & you will be hard pressed to tell the difference & for anyone who is not allowed to drink caffeine, then you're in for a treat. This is the very first time I have found a coffee that smells GREAT & tastes as good as it smells. Um, coffee time, I think !!
