I have never smoked in my life and I never intend to. I read about the health benefits of nicotine (from Dr Ardis, referencing many published studies) and decided to try it for myself. I have found the results to be life-changing. The benefits I hoped for are long term, and so it's difficult to evaluate them in the short term. I've only been using them for a few weeks but I have noticed a huge improvement in everything brain-related: clarity of thought, awareness, reasoning, memory and mood. I did not expect this, but I'm now very glad I tried it. Smoking is very harmful and addictive and is a very bad way of adding nicotine to your system. These patches are very effective, convenient and AFAIK safe. I have not experienced any new cravings - I can take them or leave them as I wish. Of course, I can't speak for everyone, but I have found the many warnings about addiction and side effects to be (at least in my case) groundless. I use the patches in the following way: I apply them to my upper arm near the shoulder (so they're unobtrusive); I leave them there until the adhesive is wearing off (usually 2-3 days); I alternate left and right arm and have not experienced any irritation; when I bathe or shower I take them off and then re-attach them afterwards, but you can leave them on as they stick very well if applied correctly with sufficient pressure for about 20 seconds. These patches contain 58mg and release 21mg in the first 24hrs (that is 36% delivery). Over the second 24hrs they will continue to release another 13mg, and on the third day (if left on) they will deliver 8mg. Used this way the pack of 21 patches will last about 2 months - very good value for the benefits I'm getting. I wouldn't ever consider buying the lower concentration products - if you want to reduce the dose you can cut the patches in half or quarter. If you feel like it might be right for you, I would highly recommend trying them. Oh, and the cognitive improvements aren't restricted to my waking hours - the dreams are also amazing!

Only just started to use them so a bit too early to say if they work . But what i have noticed is that they don't irritate my skin like other brands

First off, they do what they promise, exactly as their rival nicotine replacement patches promise, BUT... I've used seven of them (over the week obvs) and every single time, be they placed on upper arm, lower arm, elbow crook and one exasperated attempt close to my armpit, overnight the same thing happened, which was the adhesive failed and my bedding was forced to give up smoking. Since it's a 24 hour treatment and this keeps happening, either it's a one off adhesion problem or something else, like I move around too much in my sleep. Either way these patches aren't cheap so I'll be trying the competition when this box runs out if the issue persists. Further to this, just read a review that suggests usage can be over two and a half days, when the box insists they're 24 hour usage and delivery of percentage doses at 36 percent, then another and finally 8 percent on day three?? Sadly it wouldn't work for me if the adhesive won't stay stuck but heigh-ho!
